1) Penelope to do just fine as Captain. With 'some' questioning her leadership (in yet another sporting gesture  ) potential, they only need to look back at season 03 and see how she stepped up an steered the ship when the need was apparent.
steering the ship? comon, that's pirates' pun. back off, duude

my prediction is penelope will go and join another team half-way through the season

Oh halfy your such a silly billy.

All the teams this year are strong and I honestly think that this will be a very tough competition to win this year.

Newtown I predict will be in the GF. What a team !!

Good call by Backpacker on the Player of the Year. These three will battle it out for sure.

Parramatt, I have no problem with your comments regarding me being Captain of Easts, after all I am following in the footsteps of the two best captains to lead a 7's team. It's a huge task. I would never let these guys down nor our Players. That Ozzie asked me and the team supports me, is fantastic. :D

I do not dispute the potentail quailty of the 3 mention, but looking at the teams I see more than 3 potential players of the year.
The bluebags look very strong to me, but I am a newbie at this.

I like a boost like the next monkey but this is close to being a wedgie !

I should be called halfy-gorilla this season because that's about all the time I will be around. I'll be well down the list due to an inury plagued season - after having two full seasons playing every comp game I'll be MIA a bit this year. :(

There's a hatfull of really interesting and great posters coming up this season. If you scan the player lists there's intelligence, humour, bizzaros, naivety and knowledge - some posters even have more than one facet.

Competition between individuals is gonna be great and teams close, my prediction is that the teams that keep a top 5 playiong roster on the field will alternate the lead. Any team not fully turning up will struggle (but we know that anyway). Too close to call for my view.

Individually a couple of the oldies will be up there but I reckopn a few of the lesser frequent posters from last year and a few newies will show some form. Consistency is what gets you up there.

Natch, the BAGS TO WIN !

I heard the after awards party really got dirty
There's one or two 'players' with soiled reputations, with turgig and tumescent profiles...

We managed the coverup really nicely. 8-[ Although those players are no longer playing due to their indescretions. Apparently been given high powered desk jobs instead. 8)

Willow got pissed? Geeze, you should've seen ozzie. I'd be more worried about him sitting behind you EA. ;-)

hahahaha

Nah, Ozzie would head butt me, halfy would grope me and Willow would probably ruin my dinner suit by regurgitating his dinner.

Halfy still runs last...

If only we'd been lucky enough for Willow to have had dinner. We may not have had to have spent the next three weeks apologising to all and sundry.

1 Newtown: They have a very classy side and in my eyes they were the team of 2003. Each member consistantly produced outstanding posts week in, week out and they only missed out on a premiership by the skin of their teeth. By god Gorilla is good.

2 Roosters: Roosters fans may not be the most sane individuals in the world of Rugby League but the likes of Melon can pull essays out of their arses with the best of 'em. The Roosters 7's team is much like the Roosters NRL team. Professional. They've won the last 2 premierships and its no fluke.

3 Pirates: Even though I'm a member of the squad I think its fair to say the team has a relatively strong line up. Lord Reynoldson and theirry Henry are already established stars and the undeated reigning Willow Sheild champions have only added to their squad. Half-man is a good player and a persistant captain and will ensure the Pirates have a full compliment of postsers each week.

4 Souths: I didn't see ALOT of them last year but I only needed the scan through some of their results and high scoring post to realise that they are as good as anyone when they put it together. If I recall correctly they got the highest team score in an individual match last year. I noted robster mentioned North West Rabbit's in the ranks. If he plays the'll push for a grand final spot because the bloke is so commited to everything he does. He created the 7's which also helps

EQUAL 5th Rhinos: They have an outstanding roster after some HUGE signings in yakstorm and Kiwi. Easily one of the best teams in the comp on paper. They may not have won either of their 2 trials but they were robbed against the Lions only losing due to a word count breech. They lost against the undefeated Pirates but theres no shame in that. ;-) Matt, besides mick is the most dedicated captain in the comp and he will guide them to the finals IMO. Last season they had troubles feilding 5 players each week. Can't see that happening in 2004

EQUAL 5th Penrith: By god I can't believe I have them all the way down at 5th. From an unbias point of veiw I'd probably swap the Panthers around with my team the pirates. Mick is the competitions best captain and he has worked extremly hard over the last year or two in developing his team. They were only one game away from the Grand Final last year.
