He will be 27 by time season kicks off and 28 next year. Perhaps he would be getting to a point where his best is past or close.

That’d be the direct transaction but there are 30 spots to be filled. Utsikamanu would more likely replace an Alvaro or Evans and Matterson or an external signing would replace Brown

Indeed letting Brown go and signing Stefano will put money in the cap to increase our purchasing power for a replacement of Alvaro or Evans. We also have Hughes etc that will come into the top 30.
