Radical rule change to fix NRL trend laid bare...

Did they give a thought to the golden point rule.
The game will be decided with who receives the ball from the kick off because either way the attacking team should be far enough upfield to take a shot.

I went outside for a wander in the sun today, my first walk in a month, and feeling good.
Earlier, I was looking out the bedroom window and wondered what those humans were doing when I was on the forum.

Sorry did you post already. I'm not with it.
I'll put my hand up for the whippin boy as the texts look like little wriggly snakes.

Apparently we’re in the hunt for him as well.
I don’t think we can afford every player on the open market, unfortunately.

SMH and Brent Read both reporting dogs have dropped out of the Tyrell May race and it between us and Dragons. Would be Confident we’ll get him if that’s the case. If we can nab May we should be a decent shot at the 8.
If true then the hideous dogs must b confident of signing Leo Thompson

Meanwhile, fellow ex-Origin player Klemmer will need to play at least 14 games to guarantee he has a spot in the Tigers’ squad in 2026.

He easily did that this year, playing a total of 20 games and starting in all but one. However he’ll need to carry more responsibility as the leader of the pack next season following the departure of Utoikamanu and Isaiah Papali’i.

So the the first 17, could look like:
1. Bula
2. Skelton
3. Olam
4. Bird
5. Turuva
6. Galvan
7. Luai
8. May
9. Api
10. Hunt
11. Sa Fainu
12. Seyfarth
13. Pole
14. TDS
15. Klemmer
16. Twal
17. Porter
18. Staines?

Assume Bateman is gone
Si Fainu not signed
Not too shabby.

Tyrell May, wow!!

Huge signing, I’d say this is our second best in nearly a decade. Bigger then Api imo

pressure all on Benji now, this squad should absolutely be knocking on the door of the 8

We have the following guys who can play in the middle forward rotation:-

May
Pole
Seyfarth
Twal
Hunt
Matamua
Kit Laulilii
Tim Johannssen

and we haven't signed Sione Fainu who we may try and get.

I think Porter could play there as well.

The question is do we play Klemmer for 14 games or is it in our interest to play him for less than 14 games and piss him off.

Personally I think there is a massive incentive for us to piss him off but it seems like a dog act to me.

I agree to get rid of him, it may be piss weak, but it’s professional sport, 95+% of players don’t give there all either.
We’ve been on the bottom for a decade, they gotta do something, I just feel we’re now on the cusp of something good.
Though they do this every f**king year. Hahaha

Next year is going to be huge. I reckon we get to at least 17th.

Klem shouldn't be treated as one of the players to blame for the spoons Every game he puts in and hates losing.
He's very passionate about the club and mates he is playing for.
The problem is if you compare his body/power and his impact on the game when he was playing for the dogs and Australia to him now there's a huge degradation.
The ability to offload is still there but he often only attracts 2 defenders, not 3--4 like Haas or Fafita does.
Simply put, he is not making an impact.
May however will.

The DT tomorrow will be a good read, I might buy this edition just in case we soldier on to the top :)
