Geez sacking someone for being late twice is a bit f**king rough
The kid is 19yo, if he wants to be a professional sportsman, earning more money than most working adults, then he needs to learn it’s better to be 1/2 early, than 1 minute late.
Besides, there was a rumour he was leaving to go the bunnies (tbc)?

Bateman did ⅗ of ffall on the edges and occasionally at centre and that's what he did playing this year with us.
Too Ill-disciplined.
He kept out Sione Fainu out of the top 30 which I'm peeved out.
Bateman's money could/would have secured Kangaroo Angus Crichton.
Money talks and manger's power's changes everything.

I was about to post this link.

They've sacked Miller and Faagutu has somehow gone as well. I think that means we have 29 players contracted for next year but we haven't signed Sione Fainu yet.

I don't think this is the case anymore. I think the club has one open spot.

I'd sign Sione for sure but I'd still like to see some players go. I also think Miller and Faagutu are players that may turn into decent NRL players.

Sullivan and Bateman are costing a packet and chewing up cap space.

Strangle, no mention of Si Fainu, I think he’s a pretty good player, but more importantly, he’s the glue for his brothers.

I am pretty sure it did. The update by NBWT shows 29 players now and that Miller and Faagutu are gone. It's a list of 29 players now so the previous list had 31.

It's on the WT site as well.

My expectation is that we sign Sione Fainu to the 30th spot but that is only based on my assessment that he was playing well last season.

I also assume they will be trying to get rid of some players that aren't offering value for money.

It also doesn't sit right with me that they've cocked up the top 30 and they've let two kids go in Miller and Faagutu when they argue we are a development club. These are both middle forwards who may take time to develop.

They've done exceptionally well with the development contracts though. Johannssen, Porter, Faataape, Mason and Makasini are awesome signings outside the top 30.

Great summation Tiger.
I've just got into my bed at home from hospital and your post has put me in the loop.
I'm wondering if we are holding a spot open for the silly post Nov1.

I reckon they have said to him that they will have a spot for him, but they wont actually sign him for a while. We will need to leave that last spot open incase we land any of our free agent targets like May or Hetherington before we actually move on any others.

Bronco could be 'last piece of the puzzle' for Tigers

One name to monitor this week is Broncos forward Kobe Hetherington, with news the Wests Tigers continue to circle the 25-year-old, who officially became a free agent on Friday.
Hetherington is contracted until the end of 2025 but a report earlier in the week claimed five teams were interested in his services after he was given permission to negotiate with other clubs.
New Broncos coach Michael Maguire was quick to try convince Hetherington to stay put, but it sounds like his future may be elsewhere as he looks for a starting role in the NRL.
According to News Corp's Brent Read, the Tigers think Hetherington may be "the last piece of the puzzle" and could know by next week if he will be off to the joint venture as soon as 2025.
"The Tigers have been obviously chasing him pretty hard for next year... he’s sort of the last piece of the puzzle," Brent Read said on Triple M.
"They've had discussions. His manager is actually going to Brisbane next week to meet with Michael Maguire... the Tigers should have an answer on Kobe Hetherington at some point next week on whether he'll join them for the upcoming season."

He’s backrow/lock, so I guess Pole will move into FR rotation with Klemmer, Twal, Johannsson and Hunt?

I still think we a FR short.

What's the story with Brandon Tumeth? Played his 1 & only 1st grade game back in Rd 2 2023, as a 19 year old.

Anyone know, where's he been" How has he been playing? Has the club just let him develop in the aged teams?

Back at it, I just don’t want to hear how hard and well they’ve trained all through the off season.
We hear it every year and then they come out in round one, like it’s the first time they’ve seen each other.
