Hey guys,
Knights fan here with a soft spot for tigers.
What does your best 2025 lineup look like. You’ve made some great signings, just wondering how they all fit

I think we are too hahaha
But the newbies will fit where they should.
We have a lot of good kids coming through, a lot played a bit last season.
So, finally we have some decent depth.
Just need the coach to do the right thing, which I think he will.

How’s Jacko going, he seems to be in and out of your team?

It’s hard to believe that we will ever climb out of the cellar, but this team that’s been assembled, should deliver a top 9 (dare to dream, top 6) finish, imo.

I think we still have a few spot open up but will guess something like this:

1. Bula
2. Skelton
3. Olam
4. Toa/Turuva (will depend on where Turvua plays)
5. Turvua/Laulili/Staines
6. Galvin
7. Luai
8. May
9. Korisau
10. Hunt
11. Samuela Fainu
12. Seyfarth
13. Pole/Bird

14. Bird/Pole
15. Twal
16. Klemmer/Sione Fainu
17. Da Silva/Latu Fainu

Remembering that Klemmer needs 14 games to get another year, I think his days with us are numbered.

The spine + 17 is super exciting. Can't help but feel we are a little short in centres and 2nd row though. Really wish the Papallii signing had worked out.

I thought we are OK in the back 3.
Sa Fainu, Seyfarth, Si Fainu, Pole & Bird, ( is Porter, still with us) are more than useful.
Agree re the centres, but looking forward to young Makasini getting a run.
Though plenty of depth, Olam, T’oa, Naden, Dooee, Tito, Bird & Faataape

I think Seyfarth will score a few tries next season.

That try that he ran off Latu with Galvin outside them gives me a lot of hope. He is a big body that goes hard all game. I prefer him in the middle but I can't see why he can't do the job on an edge.

I feel the same way about our back row depth, it's pretty good. You can throw another in there another, Justin Matamua.
I've got a feeling this guy will hit his straps and cement himself as a permanent sub.
It really depends on how these fringe players train and gel with the team in the pre-season.
The good thing about competition is it naturally raises the bar.
I'm more concerned about our middle rotation......Hunt is a bench impact player and that's how I'd like him to be utilised. If this happens, Klemmer will probably start.
Pole is another option to partner May in the engine room.
I really would love to have another quality bookend though.

I can't see him making the top team but if he does it'd be unreal.

I think the squad is good.

Starting Props:- May and Pole --> These two are potentially exceptionally good.
Starting lock:- Jack Bird --> This is no sure thing. I'm not sure if it will work. I'm assuming Seyfarth plays on the right edge but they could swap. Who knows. There are other options though.

Bench Middles:- Hunt, Twal & Sione Fainu --> I reckon this is a quality group of bench forwards.
Utility:- Latu Fainu --> I can see Latu being on the bench and coming in at 13 or 9. He might add some creativity in that role. It's another option. He appears to be a special player as well.

Back-up middles (in Top 30):- Matamua, Kit Laulilii, Klemmer --> I think all 3 of these could push for a top grade spot. Kit might be a bit early but he could come good quickly. Matamuma might come on. I think most people would have Klemmer in the top team.
Back-up middles (Outside Top 30):- Tim Johannssen & Reuben Porter --> These two guys looked pretty good in first grade last year.

It depends what happens with injuries but I reckon we have enough talent to get the job done. I think it's a coaching issue in that they have to get it right.

Who is your goal kicker if Api is not on the field?

Tim Johannssen is an unknown for me. Do you know much about him?

He's a big lad, mobile and can tackle. He came from the knights, but I think he was found in a 2nd Div team here in the Balmain area from memory.
He did play in one NRL game, I don't think it was anything special, but he's only young.
He also did the WT podcast in '24.
Born in Switzerland.
