That actually good news for me Vic because he was hampered by it and the earlier he gets it done the better. It will also help with his transition when AD gets pushed into lock or leaves.
Latu is our best option for straightening the attack and often takes the line on and tackles well.
This is probably why his shoulder is stuffed.

I'm less pessimistic than you guys for next year.

I can see the broad improvement over this year. I think a full pre season will help.

I also think that KPP will be massive for us. Newcastle used him wrong and if he's come to us to be a ball playing forward, he will be the same sort of revelation that May was this year.

We have three spots left apparently, I would like to see a couple of young sub 50 game props brought in.

We have a stack of young back depth, but we need it in the engine room.

My only concern is we were kissed by the injury gods this year. Hope we have the same luck next year.

Going 50/50 should see us at least close to the finals.
I just want to see a positive for and against next year.

We build again next year, 2027 is when we give it a real shake.

By Benjis own admission, even if most players are fit and able, we enter the pre-season with a 60-70 minute side.

And the same troubled brains trust pretty much remains in charge.

KPP can only do so much, albeit a good signing.

Hopefully Mielekamp in the more responsible role can bring something fresh to the actual craft, which is out of his lane.

I think we would have been much better off bringing in new assistants.

If Jason Taylor could be lured back to cement and continue his excellent work with the dogs for example.

They’ve just replaced him as an attacking coach, when I think their defence was a huge issue at the backend.

Anything under the finals is a failure for 2026. We'll have the strongest starting 17 and strongest top 30 we've had since 2011. Guys like Sukkar, Seyfarth, Hunt, Skelton who made the team most weeks will struggle to make the starting 17. This means our depth will also be stronger.

Buys like Jock Madden, Mav Geyer, Javon Andrews and Ethan Roberts arent guys in your starting 17 but they are better players then the backup we had this year like Heath Mason, Sukkar etc

We won 3 more games this year then 2024, win 3 more next year and we likely sneak in.

Im not saying we will, I still don’t have faith in our coaching staff, but we absolutely should be making the finals.

Players come and go.
If we are on the up and we've sorted out shite out then clubs like Newcastle, Titans, Manly etc will struggle to keep all their troops happy and together.
