Others are ahead of him but Mav is going well at training.

Lisati has been guaranteed a spot in the top 30 next season. He might get a taste later in the year. Depending on how things are going.
How old is Lisati, and what's the reason for releasing the Puru brother's?

21 with a birthday coming soon.

Sometimes players leave for clearer paths to FG. Other times they are not retained because there are better options coming through.
Both thoughts apply to those two.
Lisati is interesting because in the times I have seen him he really hasn’t ever stood out.

Looking into the Hosking vs Garner who should start thing. Garner scored 7 tries in 14 games in 2019. Remember it was the pre 6 again error and at the Tigers too. Pretty impressive strike rate for a second rower, albeit in a small sample size. But his competition is Hosking who's played two games so.

It’s always sad to see junior talents leave the club but realistically never brother was going to see NRL with us, just the way it was. Hopefully, they have secured greater opportunities at the new clubs respectively.
The way Matt Cameron talked both up one could be forgiven to think both were a show in.

I'd say Hosking looks a slightly stronger defender by the eye test, although their effective tackle stats are similar. Hosking makes a lot more metres but is less dynamic in attack although he does have an offload. Hosking shapes as a classic Ivan Cleary pick but I expect him to start on the bench given the inexperience at NRL level.

Penrith have just had the luxury of Kikau for years, may bring us back to the field a little bit now.

Kikau really is a freak.

So many times we just gave him the ball 20-30m out with nothing happening, and he just made something happen. Whether it was steamrolling them, or popping an offload, or even grubbering through. They say you can't teach speed, but the same can be said for size.

Our entire left-hand attack will have to be overhauled without someone Kikau's size out there.

His size we can't replace but can get some x factor with the kids coming through. Helps the side evolve too

MG said this week on tripple M young Mav has been training at lock and prop so far this offseason and he is hopeful he can get a taste of first grade this year if he can stay injury free.
