I was watching Rove last night and Michael Richards (Kramar) from Seinfeld was on and he said he is over in Australia for a week promoting the Seinfeld DVDs that are coming out in a couple of weeks. It is 3 seasons of Seinfeld episodes that would be awesome to get!

Frankly, these DVDs are an essential purchase. Seinfeld is a high watermark in TV sitcoms - a pop culture phenomenon. And its not entertaining in a vacuous way - it has some pretty deep things about who we are and how we live, veiled in consistently brilliant comedy. I've said this before, but I'll say it again: Seinfeld is the I-Ching of the 21st century. The all-knowing, all-seeing oracle of modern life.

btw George was my favourite.

Seinfeld was one of the most consistently hilarious programs on television. Even The Simpsons, which is a classic in itself, has been guilty of a few dud episodes. Especially in more recent series.

But Seinfeld, there are so many classic pop-culture moments from the show. When I have the cash, Seinfeld will be one of the first things I grab.

Seinfeld is excellent, The Contest was the best episode. Simpsons and Family guy are better(even tho the Simpsons defnately has some dud episodes) but seinfeld is great.

I will be getting that most definantly.

There are way too many funny Seinfeld moments to list I think, but a few that stick out for me are

Jerry buying a new Saab from Putty and George has his Twix stolen by the mechanic.

George trying to get the apartment from the Titanic survivor.

George feigning disability so he can get one of those little mobile carts.

Soup Nazi - all time classic.

Laser guy -

Way too many to list, but I'm cracking up as I write those.

Seinfeld is pure gold. I don't usually watch American sitcoms as they're all the same but Seinfeld is one of the greatest shows ever. I'll buy it for sure..

Seinfeld is a brilliant show,

the difference between it and the simpons is that seinfeld finished when it was on top, where as the simpsons are continuing to churn out these absolutely pathetic episodes.

Seriously, the simpsons need to end as soon as possible, because the current writers are turning what used to be the best show into a joke

Agree. Still, the best episodes of the Simpsons are better than the best ones of Seinfeld. I also think older classic simpsons are alot better to watch over n over again than seinfeld. Doesnt meen seinfeld isnt a top show tho.

i will have to disagree GoTheBears. when im watching the simpsons at 6m at nights i usually turn it off as some episodes i am just sick of now.

but seinfeld i have the whole series on tape which i have taped from the marathon on foxtel and i havent never been sick of any episode at all. i cant watch them 10 times ina row and will still be laughing at georges stupidness or kramers wierd nature.
