You have to remember that its a business thing. Think of it considering Melvourne is AFL mad, then even if they were to show games live, they they could not match it at the best of times. Channel 9 have to pay to broadcast games and if they are not going to get enough people to watch it then they just won't show it. Hoping anything before midnight will be and always will be a dream for Melbournians! It's just the way it goes. If you have pay-tv, you will get the games earlier anyway!

Because packer is a Rooster's fan, him and Gould are freinds, they both hate Melbourne, there arch rival is Fox Sports (news limited/ Storm)
his other business's sponsor every Roosters player, which is why they fit under the cap every year, they take less contract money but receive max sponsor dollars.
He dosnt give a jack about whether league grows in victoria or not.
