Sisa Waqa doesnt have these high ball problems and defensively is way ahead of the other Fijian wingers.

Semi would be a more destructive ball runner. But Nabouli is a freak in the air. Different sorts of players. But those fijian genetics sure do result in some amazing footballers. If the fijians develop some decent halves, there's no reason they couldn't be a legitimate contender with Aussies, Kiwis and Poms.

Fiji deserve to have a team in one of the State cups and receive the same exposure PNG is now getting.

Radradra will become a legend, probably in Australia and certainly in Fiji. Ironic that some f**kwits claim there aren't enough players to fuel expansion when Fiji has to scream for recognition

Well they could play in the 4 nations this year.

They play a qualifying match against Samoa at Penrith, so expect the likes of Radradra, Waqa, Korobitie, Naboli to play in this match.

Rugby League in Fiji is growing.

According to my rugby league commentator handbook, if you give them a ball and put them in a jungle the rest will sort itself out... Or something.

Rugby League in Fiji is growing.

It has been growing in the last 3-4 years thanks largely to the success of the 2008 WC side. The amount of clubs has soared from only a handful a few years ago to now well over 60. A junior academy is underway in being setup and Vodaphone has upped their sponsorship to Fijian Rugby League to $4mill over 4 years.

I've maintained for a while now Fiji will be knocking on the door of the big 3 in years to come but they need some good coaching in the ball-playing positions from a young age.

That would be nice, maybe a tad optimistic, but I hope you're right. The biggest issue is competing with Union.

The competition between Fiji in Rugby vs Union will be interesting. League seems like a game that would suit them far more with a couple less players and no having to worry about the overly technical aspects they tend to fall down on (lineouts, scrums, rucks and mauls etc)

It's great what PNG is doing in the QLD cup. Fiji might be next on the list.

Would be great if we could get QLD Cup and NSW Cup aligned a bit more. Fiji/PNG in QLD Cup, Tonga/Samoa in NSW Cup. It's a long way off for sure, but it would be great to see happen one day.

Sisa isn't much of an attacking player though. The outside backs are where Melbourne saves their pennies.

Yeah, he's scored in every game, including a triple against the Warriors and two against Manly. Also scored five in seven games last year, so he's sitting on 13 tries in 12 games for his career.

He's pretty good but he will still get targeted with kicks and whatnot through the year. Willie Tonga has undoubtedly been a massive help to him.
