He's a businessman. He owes Parramatta nothing. People need to grow up and realise it's 2016, they're professionals. It's not the old days anymore. He's done a SBW. And why not? Look how well it worked for SBW. In a few short years the NRL will be on their knees welcoming Semi back if and when he feels like it.

To expand the game & draw on their talent pool, which is exciting, wouldn't you say.

I would but I don't think its reason for Semi to walk out of the game. Especially after choosing not to represent Fiji recently.

Yes he is but if he signed a contract he needs to find an amicable way to end that contract. Leaving the country and saying he's not coming back doesn't seem very business like.

Eels have the bye next week, are we sure Weidler isn't just making shit up because he heard that Semi was heading to Fiji?

Why should the NRL give a shit about Fiji?

Not like he cares ditched them as soon as he had a chance.

The same reason the NRL gives a shit about NZ and Victoria and should give more of a shit about PNG and Perth. RL is it's own worst enemy

He owes Parramatta the duration of his contract, actually.

Unless Parra have promised him a dodgy deal which they can't back up, and have breached the contract first, which wouldnt surprise me at all.

Exodus? Name me 10 worthwhile nrl players who have left the game for rugby in the last 12 months.

Marika Koroibete (switching next year), Sisa Waqa (switching now), Reece Robinson (switched last year) are the ones whom I know about, and they are just the Fijians.

Weidler might be a 24 carat wanker but at the least he's taking the forum fishing with him

Semi is apparently an immature young man. He certainly doesn't know how to behave in terms of his legal commitments in western countries. His agent, whoever it is, should have advised him to calm down.

Sounds like a crock. Him flying home this morning makes sense with a bye next week. BA would have given them all a few days off. More media bullshit

Robinson? What team would want him?
Waqa can't crack first grade.

Hardly superstar losses. They can all f**k off.

SBW got out of his easily. Semi will too. If he has to pay anything his Union club will probably do it for him.

But on the morals of the situation, nobody sheds tears for blokes when clubs throw them under the bus at a moments notice. When they potentially have to move a wife and children to a new city at a moments notice. The fans don't care as long as their club is winning, the clubs certainly don't care when they treat the players as cattle in situations like this. So why should the players care?

So I take it that when SBW walked out on the Bulldogs you were fully supportive of his decision ?
