Serious Question to ALL Parramatta Fans..

I was wondering what you guys thought about the club releasing the likes of Tonga, Schicofski, Vaeliki, Cayless and a few of the other guns going around?

Personally, I think Smith is a good coach (maybe a little behind times sometimes), but a smart coach.

Also, I think Tonga had his chances at Parra, and he wouldnt have been the player he is today if he didnt leave Parra..

I think Smith's abilities as a coach in getting his team revved up/ready for a big game have decreased in the past two seasons There have been vital must win games in that time, and the team has turned up not as mentally prepared as I know Smith and the team can be? This has been worrying and cannot continue if the Eels are to improve their standing.

Not referring to those particular players Dragon21 but at the start of this year, the papers ran a story about our retrntion policy and listed the players we have let go over the past few years.

I think there were 28 all up...I would have kept no more than 5 of them.

but i believe his methods have become stale and outdated and his PR skills with players have become so degraded that he should be removed purely on that basis

We lose some we gain some. I know we have lost some real talent but we dont know what is going on behind closed doors. Not every player can fit into the cap and if 250000 is offered and your only being paid 100000 I know where I would go. Loyalty is expensive.

I think yes, his methods have become quite stale.. but take a look at your playing roster for this year.. Theres no way that team was a top8 team..
I think the next 2 years are either do or die for Smith.. maybe even next year.

that was smiths choices for the playing roster this year and probably indicated more than anything else the fact that he is no longer innovative in the game and instead is trying to play catch ups with the other coaches and their ideas instead.

Players arn't the public, and don't need public relations skills,

Relationary skills are something else, but if we are refering to Witts coments, I haven't been around but I am sure I said before I left that Smith is on Surfing Safari in a secret location with his Daughter. So if that secret location is anywhere but Sydney (highly unlikely) he can't exactly get back to say to a player, sorry son but your not in our program for 2005.

wasn't he released last Wednesday and signed with Moanly on the Thursday?...if so what was Brian doing at the presentation night on Friday? he had to have been in sydney.

Hey old timer...... ever hear of a plane? They make travel between cities a lot quicker. You can be in Brisbane at 11am, board a plane and land in Sydney at lunchtime all being well.....
