Gday all

been trawling around here for a while...thought i'd join up....I like the coach decision.....at least the coach can start out with full support of the board..... and I agree with those that think that if it all goes pear shaped, the contract wont mean sh_t anyway....

I've noticed there's a few hard rockers on this forum. Deniz Tek is playing at the Italo Club in Lismore on the 8th April....i'll be playing drums in the support band so if you're up this way (Lismores 40 k's from Byron) come on down and say gday....it ll be rockin right out! Go the Sharks...

I think it's a bloody good decision!

In the fair dinkum stakes we really aren't going to get anyone else so lets give the bloke a feeling of security and see what he can he can do.

Hopefully a relaxed coach can make the good decisions on a club that has struggled in the last couple of seasons on and off the field.

We are never gonna be in the market for Bennet or Sheens so stop dreaming.

If he is 0 and 10 that's what the so called experts are tipping anyway!

I'm a bit more optimistic however and believe we are going to be more than competitive this year.

Good decision.Stability and ATM it is for only 2 years, is what the club needs.Bear in mind the cattle on the field, have some bearing with results also.

I would say the only reason Cronulla did this, is more so because they didn't want another club to steal him away due to his low cost if they did well. I am sure there will be plenty of coaches under pressure this year (Kevin Moore for one if the Dogs start poorly).

other clubs couldn't give a tinkers cuss over cheap coaches

It's cheap for Cronulla. Another club may seem him going well and offer him a lot of money to leave. If Cronulla have him under contract, then that can't happen. Thus why it was a smart move from Cronulla to lock him in. It's better if they have a cheap coach who is aware of the system in place (Financially etc)

I respect your thought process but rewind for a second.........it's the sharks, it revolves around dollars not smarts

This has to be a joke right?
Is it April already???

So we extend the contract of a bloke who has shown NOTHIN!!
He may go okay but so far has shown NOTHIN!

So what do we sign him on - hope??

Are we that clueless? Friggin' obviously.

We didn't sign him for fear of him being poached.
Unless you factor Erina into the equation.

I'll say it - once again - this bloke has 2 things on his resume:
1. Great hair.
2. A decade of abysmal results as an assistant coach at Rorters, Sharks and SOO. Only assistant, but everything he's assisted in has been bellyup when it's run it's course.

I'm friggin' perplexed once again at the boffins who make these decisions at our joint.

I take it all back.
Sorry Shane supporters.
I was wrong.

What I saw today was a well oiled machine.
A group prepared and ready to go from the opening whistle.
In the zone and ready to lay down their life to defend their tryline.

The last 10 years has obviosuly been an aborition and Flanno IS the guy to get us the flag.
And end our bad hair days.

Would signing him for life be out of the question?

To highlight that point Spide, they lost their 3 BEST players.

Tongue, Duggan and Campese.
Then add Orford to that list.

It'd be like us losing Gallen and...
...help - I'm struggling.
