Can't have been a true Queenslander then. Outside of the slow play the ball and the fact Reynllds stayed on the field most Qlders I have talked to felt he was perfect.
No, in general, he was pretty rubbish on both sides of the ball.

Before watching the highlights, my opinion was that NSW were lucky to come out winners- Qld dropped the ball at some key moments and Thurston was diamonds and stones all night.

But after watching the highlights, with all due respect to the Maroons they were lucky to even be a chance at winning with 10 to go. Clearly a knock-on off Tate, and then a glut of ridiculous penalties right at the end. I'm so glad NSW won, otherwise legitimate criticism of Shayne Hayne would be dismissed at NSW whinging and sooking- no doubt the Courier Mail would have found another use for some photoshopped image of a crying baby for today's paper!

I'm even prouder of the fact that the Blues won in spite of the officials and not because of them. If we see the same effort and commitment to the task in Game 2 then maybe (just maybe) that shield could be getting the cobwebs dusted off it soon...

Best for NSW - J Hayne, B Scott
Best for Qld - S Hayne, M Scott

Pocket ref – “He’s milking! He’s milking!”
S Hayne – “Better give Queensland a penalty”

Hometown hero does it again.

Towards the end when NSW recovered a kick, he called time off to check to see if Cameron Smith was ok because he was sitting on the ground and slow to get up allowing Queensland to reset their defence.

Numerous times NSW would try to pressure the kicker and would be taken out (not a case of NSW running into the player), and it was play on.

Hodges loses the ball in the tackle, but we allow QLD to keep possession because Slater was down injured 10m away... And then when play restarts its Inglis playing the ball!!!

So many clangers, I wouldn't be surprised if Hayne gets done for having a bet on the game.

Look, I'm a Queenslanders to the core. And I'm not one eyed, just two headed. I think nsw deserved the win, no doubt. They played tremendously. I also agree that Qld got the rub of the green. HOWEVER, noone seems to realise (including commentators) that the knock on ruling toward the end that everyone thinks was against Hodkinson was NOT what the refs were calling a knock on. The knock on came when hodges was standing in that tackle looking to offload and a blue knocked it out of his hand (forward) onto the ground and corey Parker then kicked it off the ground into Hodkinson. All the replays started after the actual knock on.

THIS. towards the end he decided he wanted to get out of the stadium alive, but before that he was shit both ways. I'm glad nsw held on to win because they were the better team and we didnt need yet another game decided by a moron with a whistle

just noticed when watching the replay that when Hayne made his linebreak. DCE dragged Jennings out of the chase as he ran past him right in front of Shane Hayne.

Clear as day penalty "missed" by the orange one

I noticed that too and was one of the calls that pissed me off the most. No mention of it in commentary or on the forums.

Can't be that, because when Inglis knocked he ball out of Scott's hands it was ruled not played at

Well, 24 hours later, and I'm still shaking with rage at that performance from S Hayne, in particular that last 10 minutes.

No 10 metres kept in the last half hour, phantom knock on's called, blatant stuff. Missed or ignored?
Either is completely unacceptable.

It is an absolute digrace to our game's showcase. He should be watching game 2 and 3 from his lounge.

Jeez, it was bad on the night but if you are still 'shaking with rage' you should go get your blood pressure checked mate.
