Its just that you cant register using a hotmail account or anything similar. You have to register using your ISP's email addy.

Well I'd say we can get to number 1 as long as none of us start drifting off back to rleague.com now that their forums are up again. I tried to register today and was told that my email adress was banned??? :shock:

I've had a couple of slight run ins with Matt O but found that interesting. Lets all stay here, but has anyone else tried to register for rleague? I've since registered with a different email.

I don't think it's to do with run ins as I have run ins with MattO as well and had no trouble registering.

It's more likely that you used a "free" email address like hotmail or yahoo which the rleague people have very wisely banned across the board. You can't track trouble makers with free mail addresses and in this day and age, sad as it is, there will probably be a need to track pests down.

It's a good and smart protection measure for that forum.

I'm sick to death of f**king migrating forums every few months.

Rleague.com is run by a bunch of hacks anyway, absolute amateurs. They cant even spel proply. The freedom of speech here is pretty good I reckon. I dont like a hierarchy of mods who try to stamp their authority on the fine work Tam, Millers, (formerly Frenzy) and now Z do but I can live with it.

Rleague.com caved in when they should have stood strong. The forums were the only good thing about that site. And fancy having to use an ISP email address. I dont even know or care what mine is. The obsession with heavy handed threats from bloated broadcasters and fat cat CEOs just makes me sick.

I'm here to talk footy and express my opinion. I'm not going to have my opinion crushed by some 17 year old on his dad's computer. Information wants to be free, what is this - 1984?

I'm gonna do all 3! This one, Buzz Boy's and rleague.

rleague, IMO, is going to end up as the place to be because

a) They have tighter security to control troublemakers.

b) They have a better product in vBulletin.

c) They have better rules in place to maintain the staus quo and control the trolls.

I don't like the skeleton of rleague at the mo, but the guts is impressive.

The User CP is schweet too.

The only thing i still dont like about it, is the fact the emoticions are blue.

The first thing I have noticed is the slow down in posts in the FFB which pleases me no end and will take some load off the server and increase the efficiency of the forums.

At least Cliffy has gone to greener pastures and will not be returning. Surely that's worth something? :lol:
