He said the money would be used to upgrade the club's facilities and improve disability access

Read between the lines people. Adam Dykes has been having a bugger of a time getting his wheelchair out onto the ground.

Bout time that hole got an upgrade... Fancy paying to get into the ground, then paying again to sit down...

That article to me reads like the money is going to be spent upgrading the club and the parking lot, no money on better seating etc.

Perhaps they'll finally build the hotel the club has always wanted, haha!!

The Bulldogs didn't buy a premiership. They attempted to in 2002 and got caught out and heavily punished. They won a premiership in 2004 with a team that was under the salary cap, fairly and squarely.

$10 mill, a drop in the ocean for ground renovation (but still better than nothing i guess?)

Will be interesting in a few years when GC, Storm,Broncos, Newcastle etc are all in top quality stadiums and some Sydney teams are still playing out of antiquated grounds.

The Shire...is it nice safe Liberal Party heartland?

It would explain it...they wouldn't do the same for Newcastle.

But I thought Johnny "wasn't in politics for building sporting stadiums". The latest goings on would suggest otherwise.

waste of tax payers money which should be used for health. the sharks should be relocated to Adelaide and the whole sharks complex - club and ground acquired compulsory by the federal government and sold off with the proceeds going into health.

too many sydney teams and some should be relocated - if relocation is not an option then the sharks should be intergrated into st george/illawarra, manly intergrated into norths area, penrith into parramatta's.

The sydney teams in the NRL would be the following after the above

North Sydney
Parramatta
Wests Bulldogs
Sydney Roosters

South Sydney should be relocated to Perth or Central Coast and Balmain (split from Wests) to Hobart - no debate.

What are you laughing at Covell wanker? Your team has never won anything, purchased or gained!
