I actually like Leichardt oval. Its a great place to watch the footy and it has a great atmosphere.

Some of those old suburban grounds are great. The more we have, the better.

Thanks for your support fellas, it doesn't go unnotice I assure you. All clubs from time to time need to look to fellow league fans for help. You be sure we'd be there for you. PS I love Shark park, especially the night games with the wind howling. I remeber when you had Artie as coach us Alan (who will not be mentioned - inherited a grand final side and took them to the cellar) both teams were struggling and they'd bill the match that the losing coach loses his job... It was a dark old, drizzly, wind howling night and rented light towers so when bombs went up the ball dissapeared (perfect sharkie conditions).... You flogged us.... Pity we didn't sack him for another couple of months though....

I agree on the waste of the 6 mil at the other end of Darling street mate, the fact that shire people getting that money doesnt change my opinion on that. Bezzina developement s even sponsor the sharkies i think.

I'm not convinced but applaud your cause and efforts in the fight.

You say it's not true that your own board see little future at Leiachardt...I would check that out mate, because I know some board members there personally and , well, I disagree. Don't believe what ever they tell you.

My stance is, well, have a look at the inner west, off the top of my head there is LEichardt oval, Apia's soccer ground, Henson Park, Erskinville oval, Alan Davidson oval ( sydney park) , Redfern oval, Waterloo reserve oval ( Mcevoy street and Elizabeth street) , camperdown oval, Petersham sports ground, THe Portugues soccer club in Sydnenham, etc etc

I just can;t see leiachardt warranting more than a few bucks spent on paint and fixing the old stands up so they can at least be used, that's all.

ON COncord, you say it was incorrect what I said about a lease, forgive me if it is leased to the NSW Union, but my point was that it is AVAILABLE for home games, its good enough for the tiges to train on, and let's face it, grounds take more than one team, SFS ring a bell ?

So if the fact that the NSWRU uses it too is your reason for not playing out of there, then it's a weak reason isnt it ?

Parking ? they have the bowling club grounds, plus 3 playing fields accross concord road, a sponsors parking area, plus 2 playing fields east of the ground, more than Shark Park infact, PLUS the added transport options of Constant buses along PArra road, the closest bus stops of any ground in the NRL one would have to say, walking distance to Burwood train station.

Mate the plus has it ALL OVER leichardt for transport, facilities and comfort.

NO, it doesnt have the fantastic tradition, I agree fully, but one has to gauge how much that is worth ?
