Sharks guernsey tonight

Tell me if I am wrong, but the jumper the Sharks used against the Storm isn't the same as the one they used in the eighties. I thought it was more blue than black back then

Its the opposite in colours. The light blue was where the black is now and the Black was where the blue is now.

I couldnt tell who was who out there last night.. The storm andn the sharks jerseys looked similar from a distance.

From the back, they all look similar. Almost like when Sharks met Storm back in round 3 2002 when sharks wore their sky blue jersey and storm wore that purple one. Some wild passes there, even the ref couldn't tell who's who. :lol: :lol:

I read somewhere on this board that Puma told the Sharks the 80's design wouldn't sell and they didin't want to manufacture them so they gave them a modified design.

Yeah all the panel on the Sunday Footy Show said they have never seen it before. It was heaps black, when i seen the highlights on the Sunday Footy Show i thought for a second it was the Storms jersey. You could hardly tell the teams apart the jerseys clashed with eachother.

That jesrey they used last night was utter crap. Too much black and really no point to it since it resembled nothing that they wore in the eighties.

We wore a true version of our retro jumper two seasons back. A lot of the people who buy these things would have got one then and wouldn't be queueing up this time around. So they reversed the blue and black on it. It's a merchandising decision.

Let's be realistic - did we have an 80s week to get all nostalgic or did we do it for the marketing possibilities? If you believe in the first one, I have a bridge for sale you may be interested in. ;-)
