I heard they did a sharks legend team like what they did with the bulldogs and the souths dreamteam and all that.
If this is true, can someone please tell me what the team is.

I doubt it. Mat Rogers and Andrew Ettingshausen would be the wingers. Mat Rogers played for Australia and Ray Corcoran didn't. Thats pretty good proof whos better.

This is what my team would be.

Think that I'd have Dane Sorenson in there in place of Davo myself. I'd also find a spot for Tommy Bishop instead of Noddy. Nonetheless yours is a good team.

Paul Green never played hooker at Cronulla. He was the first choice half back wasnt he? Aaron Raper might be worth a call as he made the Australian squad whilst at Cronulla. Did Dane Sorensen ever Play hooker? I have recollections of him playing there a bit, for some reason. Ettingshausen, a centre, and cronulla immortal (isnt he) probably shouldnt be pushed out of his favoured sport for Mark McGaw, even though personally i rate McGaw the better player. Other than that, the side looks quite good (from an outsiders perspective) although i must admit to not knowing or remembering Kneen, Mullane, Maddison or Watson. Would John Lang be the coach?

Sorry, I know they named a team in the late 90's and Ray was on it. That is what I was referring too, have they named another one since?

Yeah your probably right with some of those. I only put Paul Green Hooker because he can play there. But your probably right, Aaron Raper should go there. Dane Sorenson should probably get a spot over Steve Kneen. I only put E.T on the wing to open up the spot for McGaw. Screw it E.T is one of the greatest ever sharks players. He did play 328 games for them. He also holds so many other records. Ill Put him in he's favorite spot. Kneen, Mullane, Maddison and Watson were in the early days(60s and 70s) . They played for Australia/Great Britain. Good players.

If there has been a team picked I believe either Ron Turner or John McMartin will be the hooker. Ron Turner was our very first international and John McMartin was arguably the best ball winning hooker of his day (when a hooker was a hooker and not a 2nd. 1/2 back). Turner played in the 1973 GF and McMartin in the 1978 GF.

He was before my time, but I'm pretty certain he at least packed a few scrums as Hooker.

Sorenson was a prop. He and Genghis were the top props in those days with Gary Stares as backup. John McMartin and Rowland Beckett were our top hookers then so it's unlikely Sorenson was ever picked to play that position but may have shifted there temporarily if one of them left the field injured.

Yeah I know Ron Turner was a good Hooker but I don't know too much about him so I wasn't sure whether to put him or Aaron Raper there. They both played for Australia so its hard to say.

Few choices here i must beg to differ Ray Corcoran has to be the winger held most tries in season for many a long year Mick Mullane was a specialist fullback played little or no wing.

Mitch Healy at 5/8, ahead of Panda Andrews or Michael Speechley, could not see that being the case.

Raper at hooker ahead of Ron Turner and John McMartin, John would have played for Australia bar the bomb thrower around and that comes from Arko himself.

Couldnt have Green on bench would more be inclined to go for Bishop, to add some fire, or if going for 4 forwards either T or David Hatch.

Your team seems to have many players from recent times, some of our best players played in from 1967-1985, I would have loved to have found a place for Steve Kneen

I'd have John McMartin as the hooker he was the best Hooker during his time and only politics kept him from playing for Australia.
