The storm were going to give Joel Moon 200k and he stayed with the Broncos.

I was just about to say.

Galloway is on 215k a season and has probably played as much PL as he has FG.

That said he has improved a fair bit, but he still isn't worth 200K a year. Might be though for his next contact.

It's UP to 200K a season, I wouldn't be getting too excited. He definitely has more of chance playing first grade with us than the Dogs considering they already have 3 great centres in Millard, Emelio and Tonga.

We don't even have 1 permenent centre. Pommeroy is set to move into the backrow at some stage in the near future, and Anderson is still very raw, and probably better suited to the wing.

Whats unusual about this :

NOTHING!!

If its not the Roosters signing Dogs players its the Roosters ex-coach....Give the Dogs a break...does anyone have a development program now!!!

And so they should. I hate the dogs, but respect them. Who of the dogs players was known until they threw on the blue and whit. Armit and pattern (are the only regular players) are probably the only players not developed by them, which had first grade experience before starting their careers there. I don't understand why a place like Cronulla can't produce Juniors while Kogra can.

I think i have said this already but all clubs are open to having their young prospects poached not just the dogs. Sometimes it pays off, sometimes it doesnt.

And the dogs do their fair share of poaching too.
Anasta (souths)
Omeley(norths)

are just two guys (who were big young prospects when they joined the dogs) that the dogs have signed from elsewhere. But i guess it didnt really work out in Anasta's case.

There isnt exactly an abundance of Kogarah juniors. The majority of St George Illawarras juniors (who are now playing firsts) are from the wollongong/dapto/illawarra region.

pretty much can be attributed to the poor relationship between the sharks and the JRL - too which was one of the first things stuart and team have addressed since their arrival

stuart is constantly meeting with, conducting coaching seminars, affiliation meetings, etc to strengthen the bond between the 2 bodies

on top of that the talented local players that go to Endeavour High - then move on toward other clubs

hopefully the continued work put in on fixing the ties between the JRL and sharks will amend the junior development problem

it is in a much improved state already since his tenure

throw in the poor eye for development and scouting methods from the previous 3 year coach as well

No offense, but if parramatta and penrith can both have one of the biggest junior bases in RL and they are down the motorway from each other, I'm sure Cronulla can produce atleast half the juniors from a geographically similar basement. I understand Union is more competitive but their would be some relay good youngsters out there, and if the ties with the junior clubs was better (as mentioned they are not), they must be able to produce players like they used to. Cronulla had no problem producing them before, why now. Endeavour High have a great football team, where are their players leaving to. How hard is it to get a scout to these games, watching the players, and talking to them.

Over half the players that play for endeavour high are contracted to other nrl clubs.

They are not always from the cronulla area, they attend the school because it is the public school systems answer to patrician bros and st gregs.
