First Sonny Fai and now Shawn Mackay, it really sucks with young players with the world at their feet can pass away like that.

Everyone - ignore Spike, it's moments like this when people show their true colours.

this is so so sad. I lost it seeing all his teammates returning home and finding out he doesn't make it.

oh god thats so awful.

i saw my mate get hit by a car when i was 18, it's horrific. his poor family.

Leon Walker and Adam Watene too. A horrible year so far.
I remember watching him play reserves when I went to my first ever game. A terrible shame. Best wishes goes out to his family, rest in peace Shawn.

f**k this sucks. I never met the guy but several blokes I work with know him quite well from his stint playing RU at uni here in Brisbane.

What a tragedy. Such a great player coming through the ranks. An awesome sevens player as well (coached the Aussie women as well for some period). RIP Shawn.
