No doubt that little merkin Farah is behind all of this. The grub would stab his own family in the back

Humpty Dumpty got us into this mess in the first place. Sheens was offered big money to go and coach Penrith, so he panics and offers Sheens a huge deal to stay with us. 12 months down the line he figures out the fraud that Sheens is and flicks him. He should have put the performance clauses in Sheens' contract when offering him that much, but he didn't (although maybe he was smart not to considering Sheens had a CEO sacked who dared to make him accountable for his performance).

The club has been a mess for a while now, I'm just thankful I got to see them win a premiership, because aside from 2010, we've never even been close. Mayer I think has done an admirable job cleaning up the mess, and getting the new generation of youngsters signed up, we just need to find the right coach for them on a shoestring budget.

You can't blame Humphreys, he's the bloke that got rid of Sheens. Everything that has gone wrong is directly attributable to the dysfunctional board of directors. The board backed Sheens instead of their CEO and punted Scotty Longmuir when he dared to put forward KPIs for the coaching staff and in the end Longmuir was vindicated when the Tigers only made the finals twice in seven years following a premiership win. Now the board again are leaking to media, white anting Potter and blaming it on player discontent, trying to destabilise the NRL side in an attempt to make the Tigers miss out on the eight, which would mean no contract extension trigger for Potter. The NRL really messed up by not appointing an interim administrator to run the club until the new board had been finalised.

So will the Tigers be paying for 3 head coaches next year?

They stopped paying Sheens late in 2013
They were due to pay him until the end of the 2014 season

Therefore the only thing they might have to pay him is the money from late 2013 through to the end of this season. They don't have to continue paying into 2015

Potters contract is also to the end of 2014 isn't it?

What is wrong with this club. Do they not see they are a finals contender? How they can possibly even discuss sacking Potter mid season is beyond me.

If Potter does go, i hope they bring in someone from outside the club again...

I hate these player power-moves to bring in the trainer or assistant they like.

If it is Payten then can all go and f**k themselves. We underperformed for half a decade because the boys club ran the show. We piss them all off and get channel 9 sob stories about how they all cried, and wondered who would organise the lunches now. We get together a young talented side, and now it seems like we're going to bring in a member of the boys club as head coach.

Kidwell would be better but I just hope Potter gets a gig at an NRL side that isn't full of white-anting grubs. We were supposed to run last in 2013, and had a crippling injury toll, yet came up with some great wins. This year we were apparently morals for the spoon, yet we never looked like winning it. They say that a good coach leaves a team in better shape than he received it, and I think Potter has done that.

Shocking interview by Gus during the game today. Feel sorry for Potter having ask a bunch of questions about his future right before a game

what a freaking shambles this club is. the sooner NRL selected board members take over the better they'll be.

Potter could've said no. He would have known the questions were coming - they probably told him what they were. I'm guessing he wouldn't have minded getting a say. All the faceless members of the football club have had their say in the papers.
