He has to get some credit.

Benji to 7 seems like the right option.
Moltzen at the back seems to be getting it together.
Our forwards look strong.

But its not his fault when the players screw up, miss tackles etc ....so......

Naah serious its improving...you talk tho like benji at 7 is something new, its not
The forwards are firing and playing long minutes, the attack still is gelling but wins and confidence go a long way in that regard

Your right in that he shouldn't get blamed when players miss tackles or take the wrong options. At the same time though he shouldn't get too much credit for when the players perform.

I also agree that Benji has been playing at 7 for a while. The thing is giving him the jumper seems to have lifted his game a little.

He should get credit though for sticking with players like Moltzen and choosing to keep players like Woods over Fifita and Gibbs. This isn't something against Gibbs and Fifita either - I like both of them as players.

Sheens does kill me at times with his selections however I have never doubted that he is a positive influence at the club. When he gets selections right as he has so far he is really good for the club.

Credit where credit is due the team played well, the only concern again was our make up of the bench and how it was used.

No,Benji at 6 is a golden boot winner,we needed to put Moltzen,Miller,Humble or Chisolm at 7 and leave them there, just like Manly 2 years in a row with Hodgkinson and Cherry Evans and Souths with Reynolds,Sheens changes the team to much.
Reddy has been great but is left out,we are winning in spite of Sheens, not because of him.:x

I don't give him much credit.

This is how the team should be performing most weeks. He has got close to the best list in the comp so more performances like today will be nice.

Perhaps Sheens believes Sironen is better than all those options to partner Marshall. This means Benji to 7 to fit him in. Humbe is also a valuable utility player from the interchange.

Sheens, we won so people love him again. Its those game plans he comes up with that make the difference.

The team was down on petrol lacked ideas the game in the balance and Humble was getting piles on the bench. Rhino was coming back from a long spell and played long average minutes.

The old story Sheens gets us every win and has nothing to do with a loss, bit like our Juliea

You can play Benji 7 when Farah plays.

Farah and Smith give thier teams such an advantage.

Luke is getting there too.

Running the team from dummy half lets you play 2 5/8s.

Young Siro looked awesome, put the 6 on his back.

Credit? Yeah it's probably good for about another three years on his contract...

I doubt it.

If he thinks Sironen is best option to partner Benji, why did he buy Anasta?

Woods playing 66 minutes a week after playing 72 minutes and Galloway playing 68 minutes a week after playing 60 minutes will not end well, despite how brilliantly those two performed in both contests.

If (or should I say when) one of those two pick up an inevitable injury and our reserve props are used to playing less than 15 minutes a game, who's fault will it be? Junior Moors (again)? Or Super Coach Sheens?

exactly.

see a simply situation would be to at least have 2 props on the bench. 2 starting props play 50 mins, bench props play 30 mins.

imo, that should be the min any team should try and do with their prop rotation and bench selections.

I would still love to see Humble at 6 or 7. Young Siro looked really good, but our backline has great Shape when Humble is in the mix. Anyway looks like he is now our no14

Don't worry Groat will be back soon...

A few years back, before Manchester City were bought by filthy rich oil tycoons who then went on to but City the title they had a very mediocre player called Shaun Goater. Their fans used to sing `feed the goat and he will score'. We should do something similar for Matt.

All jokes aside he will be good. He is just very very young for a prop. Woods calibre players come along once every 10 years if that
