Would have liked Solway to score a bit quicker and I think that lead to a few quick one's being lost....but after collapse Nev and Abbott have batted beautifully

Blues have 2 spinners so last day could be interesting

Nice to see Sabbott amongst the runs, he used to be considered a decent all rounder but has focused more on his bowling in recent years, he can bat

It feels like both sides have been playing for a draw since day one the way they've batted... Lol

Tim Paine twin failures, will be 36 in December

Will be the aussie keeper this summer (unless injured)
,
But do we look to blood someone new if the last test becomes a dead rubber?

Cant see Paine continuing on after this summer, just a hunch
Scored a hundred against SA now

Not the point. These pitches are roads. They serve no purpose.

This.

Unless curators juice up these pitches, I can teams racking up 450+ scores in the 1st innings this summer with consummate ease, with Kookaburra balls offering very little for bowlers over the past decade (with rare exceptions such as matches played in Hobart where the weather conditions offer something for bowlers), not to mention the ban on saliva a few months ago is going to make it all the more difficult for fast bowlers to achieve any swing once the shine fades off the new ball after 15-20 overs.

Flat track bullies will be made to look like world-beaters this summer.
