Well done to QLD, they've been the best side this season. Good to see Renshaw back in the runs this season. Neser cannot be far from test cricket either.

The difference between the teams was Marnus, that's really all there is to it.

He has really turned himself into one of the best players in the world in the longer format

He was a massive difference

QLD can thank the IPL for him being unsold, otherwise he would be over there with Smith, Paddy, Davey and Henriques...

A shield final with all test stars available would be a good game.

Guys like Swepson, Neser bowling to the likes of Smith and Davey would improve their game as well.

Shield just not high profile enough.

As Bryce Street develops he'll need to learn to pick up the pace a little.

I have him as our future Test opener. I saw him playing white ball the other day. Was a short innings but enterprising.. not stodgy like we see him in shield cricket. This is not a criticism.. as stodgy wins red ball cricket matches
