High representation yes but you cover it with your depth. Players used to move here just to increase their chances of playing for Australia so we were strong regardless.

The no state has developed players as fast as they lose them.

That is why you have Tas and Vic with very few Australian guys 1 and 2 in the comp.

NSW are weak. WA are missing a few too due to Cricket's resting policy

Steve Smith should be playing perfect chance for some Red Ball practice before the tests.

Except he is getting ready for some white ball games

Funnily enough when the Blues won the Shield in 19/20, we drew and lost a game to them, and were set to play them in the final. However the Covid pandemic was upon us and the Final was cancelled, and Blues awarded season winners due to being on top of the table when the pandemic hit..

Another great hundred from Beau Webster yesterday. Can’t be long until he’s making Test squads. His overall record isn’t great but over the last few seasons he’s been the most consistent batsman in the Shield. Also a handy bowler.

The batting talent in this country atm is atrocious. And with our ageing side i think he will play test cricket in the next 5 years as Davies has enough talent and a bit of bazballer so i hope he credits Ben Duckett when he gets a Baggy Green Cap.
