Sheffield Shield 2024/25

How do you get considered for test cricket when you don’t play shield? Baffling

On a different note, does Zampa come off as the most miserable twat in Aussie sport? I don’t think I’ve seen the guy crack a smile before, just always looks annoyed.

Am at the SCG, warm day

Member and ladies stands only ones open.

Good bowling by Jack Edwards getting 3 poles so far. Inglis looks classy , so far 25*
Bancroft is cooked.

WA 5/150 after electing to bat

Hopefully get to see Konts and Nikitaras opening for the blues later today facing Feathers

Konstas finished on 55 not.

Seems like the PMs game he may have got himself into a groove

Bowled real fast

Inglis was a good 5-6 metres further back taking his thunderbolts compared to Philippe and any our our bowlers

Was very tight going early on, no chances but felt a wicket could come anytime within the first few overs . But we got our eye in and looked comfortable . Thought Gannon bowled just as fast and a bit better IMO, though he is turning 36 next month

LM shouldnt be no where near the test or ODI side from what I saw

Jack Edwards was easily the best bowler we saw yesterday day 1

Seeing him bat live, and Morris and Gannon giving out some heat early Sam looked composed and relaxed, played each ball on its merit, and dispatched any crap balls. Looked like a seasoned pro if im honest

Very impressed, I think he will have a long test career

In other games, Bartlett, Fergus O’Neill and Mitchell Perry all took Michelles (the first two should be in consideration for test cricket down the line), whilst Henry Hunt and Jason Sangha scored big hundreds.

Patterson 156* still out there with Bird for the final. Game likely to end in a draw unless the Blues can roll WA tomorrow.

Tassie chasing 420 against the redbacks - can’t see anything but a SA win there. Another good knock by Sangha in the second inning scoring 61.

Vics need about 50 with 2 wickets left against the Bulls. With two bowlers at the crease it’s probably a few too many although stranger things have happened. A few Michelle’s in this game, with Qlds tail wagging in both innings looking like being the difference.
