Maddinson got his 50 off 36 balls, Ed Cowan another ton not out, Kurtis Patterson another 50, he really must be up there in the highest FC averages, Henriques 22 NO
Blues 3/281 with a 50 run lead 7 wickets remaining, Chad Sayers none for a lot
Cummins having a fine return to 1st class cricket. Wickets in the first innings, scored 42 with the bat and picked up the first early wicket in the redbacks 2nd dig. SA trail be 190-odd with 1 back in the shed already...
Cummins is the most promising fast bowler we have produced in decades....and that's saying something. He's a phenomenally talented cricketer, he's just also made of spun sugar....
WA are 221 ahead with about half an hour to tea on day 3. They should be able to set NSW 340 or 350 (or even more if they go the tonk) in a day which will be a tough target. Meanwhile SA with one wicket left lead Tas by 230. If NSW win they will make the final, but if they hold on for a draw SA might sneak through. WA need to win to have any chance and it still may not be enough, depending on bonus points, which are a bit mysterious.
Would be good if we knew which way the SA Tas game was going as that would decide if NSW need to chase. Although like the Aussie team they probably don't know how to defend anyway
