ThrashViking, was that Devolve or Churn?

Devolve is their first release, but Churn their first album?
Churn.
If people are intrested in buying Devolve try the Real Groovy records website, the Wellington metal section has several of them lyring around for $12(nz)

Yeah thats where I got it from. Came rather quick too.

Churn isn't bad, but my favourite early album is Killjoy by far.

I wonder if theres any live bootlegs hanging around Wellington when them and Head Like A Hole co-headlined.

For mine, Killjoy has a killer first half, but then falls away after 'Bitter'. Churn, however, seems to keep the consistency of heaviness from start to finish.

Both of them are f***ing awesome though! :D

Bitter is a great song! :p

You Again
Gimme Gimme
Debs
Bitter
For What You Burn
Get Up

All top notch songs imo, the others aren't to shabby either.

Don't get me wrong Churn is good, I just think alot of the songs sound too similar. With Killjoy every song sounds different.

F***!!!

The Annandale literally exploded on Friday night. That was one awesome gig!

f**k oath mate! Best concert I've ever been to.

I was in the front row, between Jon & Phil. Numerous times they both played right in my face :D Scored one of Phil's pick's too..

I think I may have seen you a few times.

Oh right, I was wearing a red Shihad shirt.

I had about three hours sleep when I got home, and then it was off to Bathurst for the trial - my mates insisted on an early start!

The new stuff that was played... if that's an indication of what's to come, it's gonna be one hell of a CD... :)

Read in Drum Media today that they are coming back to Sydney in May, supporting Grinspoon on their national tour...

Yeah I remember you from the gig, you had a sweet red shirt on with the GE logo on it. I remember telling my mate I wanted to roll you for it :p

Yeah, April something, tix go on sale March 10th.

Shihad will blow Grinners right off the stage. :D

Why didn't ya bring it on then! :p

I was going to buy a new shirt that night, but the one I wanted only had small sizes left.

Don't like Grinspoon, so I won't be venturing out there in May to see them...

*is wearing the blue shirt with the lightning logo on it*

:D :D

And I have a black one with the "stamp" coming either tomorrow or monday in the mail.

I love early Grinspoon, still some of my favourite music of all time but their latest stuff licks absolute balls. So do their army of new fans who wouldn't know anything pre - ND.

I would have brought it on but by that time I had about 6 schooners in my system :p

Btw are you a member of the Shihad.com forums?

Woohoo! No need to drag my ass up to sydney, the tour is coming here :D

That banner is pretty tops, can I save it? :D

I'll be at the Sydney gig, got my tix :)

Look for Shihad to walk all over Grinners. Ten times a better band in the studio and fifty times a better live band.

They're headlining a festival called "One Night Stand" in May.

The only trouble is that they still haven't found a venue - it's a competition being run through Triple J. Apparently the criteria is that the town has got to have a population of less than 20,000, and some other stuff that I don't remember.
