Finch is far from an idiot when drinking. Its like an imbalanced sober person. Doesn't get overly loud, not abusive. Very behaved. Oh and he shouts, drink with him!

I wonder how that yougster who raided the womens dorms at Newcastle and got booted from the NRL for a year feels at the moment. His crimes were a lot less but his punishment much more severe.

If the NRL can introduce a club wide drug code, surely a club wide behaviour code is a must.

Not sure if "I was pissed and I'm a diabetic" is a successful legal defence, however it sure seems to work out Manly way!!

I was interested to know why, and how, you came to this opinion lingard...

how did you define an "incident"...coming to the attention of the Criminal Justice system, or just the media, a la Barrett's push-ups in his underpants. And why "absolutely AMAZING" that more aren't involved anyway ?

there may well be ten times as many alcohol fuelled 'incidents' that go unnoticed...who's to say.

Snap out of it, mate; and don`t call me champ. I`m not a telegraph reader. I`m also not a pseudo-intellectual. Certainly, NRL players are role models and should conduct themselves accordingly. In my job, I`m somewhat of a role model too. If I got pissed at a work function and punched a stake-holder or pissed on someone or crash-tackled a 17 year old girl (let alone sexually abused her), I`d probably be sacked and would find it very difficult to get employment elsewhere. NRL players who misbehave should be treated the same way - maybe more severely because they are role models. I was merely pointing out that I am pleased that the vast majority of NRL players do behave themselves in an acceptable manner. That okay, champ?
