Should Price Be Sacked?

Who says he has 6 weeks? It's not up to us. He will be there for the whole year, win lose or draw. The Dragons don't sack coaches mid-season from what I have seen from our history.

We stumbled to 9th position,so we would expect an improvement next season which means finals footy.With players retiring and leaving ,and some new additions it will be a fresh squad and as i have said before hopefully Price would have learn't plenty from the season past.
Price deserves to have a 2nd season as being a rookie 1st grade coach would have been tough in his 1st year.

You act as if you know Steve Price very well. I suppose you will be campaigning to get Bellamy here. Just remember, Bellamy HAS NOT won a legitimate premiership.

Not so on all counts. I doubt Doust would shell out the cash for Bellamy. At the begining of this season I was confident Price would do a good job; I was happy to see him get a go at NRL level.

Now I have formed the opinion that Price is not up to it and the Dragons should look to do better. Throwing away another season is mad and a bad business decision.

But honestly, I think the time has come for me to recognise the fact that Price will be there in 2013; there has been no indication from the Club that there will be a change. So now it's all fingures crossed in hope of a better season next year.

Now I hope and pray that Price reflects on his failures and gets some assistance to rectify the situation. I say to Price, hire some external help:

Individual coaching assistance for Soward, Drinkwater and Kyle when he is fit - Joey Johns
Backline play and technique - Mark Coyne
Forward play and technique - Craig Young
A team discipline manager - an ex RSM
A motivation professional - your suggestion please

Open the purse strings Doust and at least spend a little bit on external assistance !!

My apologies, I thought it was obvious that most of us are sharing our own opinions. I am saying he should get six weeks next year. No we don't sack coaches mid season although, again imo, Brownie was all but sack 6 weeks into 2008.

One would think he'd have the integrity to resign his position as head coach and save our Club the embarrassment of having to sack him.

Unfortunately Possum he won't be sacked...they just won't renew the option for next year. He will be here the rest of this season.

To be honest Minh I'm sick of myself.....Unfortunately the way I feel re the entire Clubs vision for the future and our current situation leaves me really flat....I just don't seem to have any enthusiasm anymore....shame isn't it ..... people say its only a game of footy but I'm sure to most of us its a big part of our life being part of a footy family...and at present personally I feel let down and total fragmented by our club.....I'm convinced if the signing of a new Coach was announced now we would all lift irrespective of where we finished this year.

Totally agree with that. The signing of a new coach would defiantly lift the supporters especially and give them some hope. They could still perform poorly but at least the club tried something because if they continue down this path there will be no joy just more pain to come.

Couldn't agree more Blood Shot Eyes, a new coach would be a real lift to the spirits of loyal supporters, regardless of how the rest of the year goes. Right now I've lost interest for the first time.....sadly.
