In all honesty I think we need to give Witt his chance before Thorman seeing as the latter is only linked to the club on an option as opposed to the former who has 4 years.

Not really.

Witt is clearly a long term option, hence the 07 deal.

Its important for his development that he plays first grade....otherwise, we'll see his development stagnate and possibly go backwards. Smith wanted him to work on some stuff earlier this year, he's done that, time to give him his shot.

Exactly Colonel. I was actually assuming that Witt's starting halfback position was now taken as read? ;-)

I just meant give Thorman a chance in the 17 now to show his wares, as that extra attacking option from the bench. Then it can be assessed whether he's worth another year or not...
