Looking more and more like we will be losing JDB. should we be making a play for George Burgess. With or without JDB. It would give us a potent rotation.

When he's on he's great. But he has terrible hands and Luke is much better. For the price he'd ask, nah

Got 700k ? Thats what he will want. Not worth it at that. His graph has peaked as well.
I think we have good up-coming props in Timm and Kerr. All they need now is good coaching and experience in first grade. A good bench rotation policy would deliver that and more.

If the court decides in favour of the NRL in the case of the stand down policy, the Dragons should use the opportunity to press for compensation and salary cap relief with regards to De Belin's contract and if successful, should buy the best prop on the market available prior to June 30.

So if George Burgess is the best available, then Millward should pick him up. Maybe with a little help from Dean Young, he will blossom into a more reliable prop when it comes to handling the ball. Who knows, maybe George Burgess will actually benefit from the opportunity of mving from under his brothers shadow.

My tip is that Hasler will pick him up and turn him into a match winner.

Dean Young help him LOL
He couldn’t teach anybody anything and his hands were pretty poor anyway.

That woukd be a big NO from me.

However, its the type of player McGregor would batting himself over. NRL experience, international, big and plodding.........sounds a lot like Lats hey!

With probably, repeat probably, Lats and Allgood playing their last seasons, GB is the perfect replacement for the McGregor methodology.

Time for us to give the young prospects a go such as Timm and Kerr, otherwise they will move on and we'll be left with dads army.

I'd prefer to make a play at Alex Twal (much better value), contracted til end of 2020 though. Also an outside speedy big back or two would be nice thanks Santa.

Timm and Kerr might just do the trick in the forwards. Saab and Pearson will get a run this year and may prove to be the wingers we are looking for.

While I don’t think buying George would be a good move, he’s not plodding. At his worst he’s a very decent prop, at his best he’s excellent. But his best is few and far between these days and there’s plenty of better value to be had.
