As I said in another thread, this inconsistent policing of the shoulder charge is going to cause chaos in bigger games later in the year.

Doesn't look fantastic, so i guess it's legal? It's only illegal if the player is taken off their feet? It is height/weight based? Position based? Maybe it's just a joke of a rule that the refs can't even begin to enforce properly, on account of their incompetence?

Only effective, or potentially effective, shoulder charges are outlawed.

It was a ridiculous decision in the first place. They did it to stop concussions - shoulder charges don't cause concussions, head high tackles cause concussions. Which are already against the rules.

The 'interpretation' seems to be if the non-charging arm is extended, it doesn't count, which is stupid.

Sandow got away with it last week and it cost the Dogs 6 points. Needs to be banned. Can't keep getting away with it cause he is a midget.

Sandow would need a trampoline to pose any threat to the head. He can shoulder charge all the hip bones he likes, he'll be the one with a concussion.

I'll start complaining when people DO get penalised for shoulder charging, every no call is a victory, sandow or otherwise.

But did he shoulder charge though or did he just stand his ground and in that case what's the difference?

Could be a massive grey area if we have to look at intent to shoulder charge in the future.

He is like the little kid trying his guts out. Sure he may stuff up but you don't punish him, you rub his head and say get back out there little fella

If they want to persist with the ban they have to police it the way Union does, at the moment it's a lucky dip whether they penalise it or not
