Timmah - sober up before you post again.

1) Where did I deride Melbourne on the season ticket numbers????

2) Actively campaigning? The total whinge-a-thon about Parra's 'bandwagon' from you is more than a passing comment. Who cares where they wer in round 6, they are here NOW. What is our club doing about it? Winning. What are you doing about it? Bagging it. Actively.

3) Merchandise sales - part of the bandwagon trip that you are whinging about. Nice for you to FINALLY admit there is a positive about it.

4) Hayne's contact was with the side of his leg. Didn't the MRC state that? Anyway, if that incident is up there with the scandals involving Stuart, Matty Johns, Myles et-al you are bonkers.

5) Bulldogs have also had - last year aside - far better seasons than we have had. Early last year they were getting big crowds on the back of previous years well before the poor form bit. Plus the club has done some excellent work in maintaining those crowds - moving stadiums, buying premierships etc. Well done - but we have had functioning management only since June after a decade of being run by a lump of timber. Give us a go - our crowds have looked better than yours in the last month.

6) We can't average over 20k a game unless we sell out each game. We will get better crowds though, and I think if crowds are important no one should be death riding any sudden increase, should they? Put your dog v Eels hatred aside, and embrace the positive side of this!

It's like Norths under Peter Louis, when they got good crowds of camembert and bagel chewers sipping frence champers because following the Bears was trendy at the time. Who cares? They paid their way, bought the merchandise, talked up the experience. Who cared about the crusty old diehard muttering about Pat Cudmore's days and the fact he has to walk past more Beamers from the busstop?

This is good news for all the code, Timmah. Stop whinging about it!

Um, here:

Good-o for Melbourne. Hip, hip......
But let me guess, you were happy for them?

You just make this sh*t up as you go, don't you? I haven't bagged Parra winning. You're clearly only read every 3rd or 4th word, give yourself a triple.

3) Merchandise sales - part of the bandwagon trip that you are whinging about. Nice for you to FINALLY admit there is a positive about it.
No, you said I mentioned merch - when I did nothing of the sort. I can't believe you're entertaining these petty arguments when you should be enjoying GF week.

4) Hayne's contact was with the side of his leg. Didn't the MRC state that? Anyway, if that incident is up there with the scandals involving Stuart, Matty Johns, Myles et-al you are bonkers.
Not aware of anything from the MRC stating contact was with the side of the leg. http://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/sport/hayne-free-to-play-in-nrl-final-20090927-g7h1.html seems to indicate this:
Hayne was charged after collecting Bulldogs winger Bryson Goodwin with a knee to head in the early minutes of Friday night's preliminary final, which the Eels won 22-12 to set up a showdown with Melbourne in the premiership decider.
The grade one charge carries a 100-point base penalty, which is boosted to 120 points as a result of a prior offence relating from a dangerous throw against Brisbane last year.
What relevance the scandals you mentioned have to an on-field incident that could've had dire consequences for the victim... I got no idea.

Dear oh dear. This deadset isn't worth responding to.

Your club has been flat out getting 15k, don't even worry about 20k yet. The true test of this "increased support" comes in the early parts of the 2010 season. When you play Canberra, Cronulla, Melbourne - will these fans still turn up?

This is good news for all the code, Timmah. Stop whinging about it!
It's good news now - I want it to be good news next year.

Misty/Dennis...you have let your hate of Melb/anything non NSWRL turn you into the biggest whinney bitch on this forum....
Instead of annoying RL fans with your anti Storm ramblings ,why dont you just enjoy the fact your team is ONE win away from glory...

Now you can have a rant at me ......go for it Fitzy.

Hang on to 1995 won't you. In 1996?

Which proves that crows generally rise and fall with a teams sucess. If Melbourne after 3 straight GF's only increase by 3,100 - what's that tell ya?

So what? The issue is what Parra are generating now - huge interest, huge crowds, huge merchandise sales - and this is somehow bad for the code????

So pnob things that Parra is a failure because the season ticket holders in 1947, for some reason, are not season ticket holders in 2009 (maybe because they'd be around 100 years old now, and most probably dead ffs..) Can pnob explain why, after a decade and 5 gf's, the majority of Melbournians don't know there's a game on this weekend?

And Perth Red, you ARE a Sydney hater. Any good news that comes out of Sydney you are immediately trying to undermine. That's why you are pissed off that Parra is suddenly generating support for the code!

:D Nothing if not predictable!

And all true. Only manic depressives like you could bag a sudden spike in support for a Sydney club. And Timmah, suddenly fretting about Parra's crowds next year, and deciding to pre-empt by bagging all the new ones.

Phil - I am enjoying this week, except the negative f*cktards bagging the excited masses. I guess you'd also hate the fact that Parra are inspiring people to focus on the great game of RL. The amount of energy some have put in here complaining is astounding - including you.

pre-emptive bagging?

I have history on my side Loudy - it's that simple. The moment an L appears next to the Blue and Gold, the fans turn away.
