Nope, that day, from memory, was Illawarra Heritage day, and the jersey was a special one, similar, but not identical to their new Steelers-style away jersey. The jersey somehow honoured a 1978 team of some sort. Can a Illasocks fan confirm this?

Saints are also yet to wear their away jersey - so far they've only worn the normal home jersey and the specialised Illawarra 70's jersey.

Interestingly Souths new away jersey is yet to spotted since the Shield, it takes some sort of miracle for the Eels to pull on their blue kit, and Canberra are yet to reveal their away jersey in 2006.

Nah dodge, the Illawarra Heritage jersey and the away jersey are one and the same thing.

The new away jersey is inspired by the Steelers jersey and was therefore used for the Illawarra Heritage day this year (and presumably so long as we have an all-red away jersey).

Not sure, my Dad handed it down to me. It is so tight, I can't fit into it and I'm a girl, so I dunno how he thinks he wore it to the games in his 20's.

I think he sewed the patch on, it reads "Australian Rugby League 1981" But that's not the 81 strip. He also ironed on PRICE and the number 8 on the back and 'lock 8' on the sleeves.

from memory the steelers heritage day is always against the broncs cuz it marks "the night the steelers almost beat the broncos" in some mid week comp.

didnt go this year but went last year and they played this song about the time the steelers almost beat the broncos n they showed footage of the game and all these old illawarra players came on the field etc.

but yeh the dragons new away jersey is just all red with the 3 white adidas stripes on the sleeves. the same as what they wore against the broncs.

they played in the heritage jersey against penrith in '04 to commemorate the first fixture the steelers played in '82.

Tiger pride I remember that 2003 commemaration jersey. They wore it against Brisbane in front of 5K at leichhardt. I went and it was just pissing down rain. We were on the hill and we brought pizza in. We had a food fight with the crusts when the game reahced blowout status.
Twas a good day though.

The cheapest place I found is the stall at Paddys Markets. It is on the outer walkway not far from the Light Rail tracks outside. I had my Swans AFL guernsey framed complete with a plaque for about $120 odd. People saw it & how good it looked & started framing their own guernseys jerseys and soccer kits.

Seriously, if you are in Sydney, try the chinese dudes at the markets. I had my Swans Premiers WEG Poster framed with non-reflective glass for only $32!

It was in 1990 when the Rs first had Video Ezy as sponsors.

Here is a trivia question for all you buffs out there? The Raiders played ONE MATCH with a sponsor on its jumpers. Firstly which match was it? Who were the sponsors? And why was the sponsorship for only one match?
