1. Kids (do not move him from here)
2. McManus
3. Tighe (starting to work up a combination with McManus, hopefully McManus can help Tighe with defending some of the big bloppers the Warriors have)
4. Doogs (played pretty badly against the dogs, not really working up a combination with his winger, however deserves another shot)
5. Uate (X-Factor)
6. Mullen (if he is fit if not, I dont know)
7. Brown (think he can help the team more at 7, however would'nt mind seeing one of the PL boys make the step up)
8. Perry (needs to fire up)
9. Bedsy (just by being there inspires the team)
10. White (need size against warriors)
11. Simmo (walks into rep sides but needs to step up)
12. Newton (hopefully can carry on that city vs country form)
13. Ryeno (pretty big for a lock but also has some mobility)

14. Snowden (need size)
15. Woolnough (playing decently)
16. Mark Tuafua (just wanna see him play)
17. Patterson (just rip into them mate)

its a little different with Mark, because he is a big boy himself. And he is use to being hit by men from union....

Karawana is still getting use to being hit by PL boys, not FG WARRIORS, i don't think you can compare the marvin with mark
You asked if a player would be put in FG after just 5 games of PL, and I gave you one ;-)

Marvin isnt a small boy though ?

Much bigger than Dureau anyway... ?

If Brown can play 5/8th and defend ok im sure Marvin can.

Marv is mid to high 80's.

Hardly small for a 5/8, though he is no Abraham.......

He brings two things to the table which I think will benefit the squad.

a) A good kicking game to take pressure of Mullen and Bederus.

b) A quality passing game, which our centres have been starved of.

A warriors game could be the perfect game for Karawana to step up in.
I think any Kiwi would like to give his best against the Warriors.

Hopefully Mullen can make it back onto the field against the Warriors because yesterday's game showed how ordinary we are in attack without his guidance. I also agree that Gidley should never again be seen with a 6 or 7 on his back and should be played where he has been outstanding since the start of the season - fullback.

I don't think Smith would risk a young half against a pack like the Warriors. He will be targetted all game in defence and i'm not sure if they will be able to handle the defensive workload required (taking in mind that i haven't seen any of these players and i don't know about their defensive capabilities). But Smith has surprised me a lot this year and we may actually end up seeing someone like Walsh, Dureau or Karawana in the halves.

I'm not too worried about our attack, it is our defence that makes me cringe after every game. We may have been missing Mullen and Newton on the weekend, but that is no reason for us to concede 30 points. Going into yesterday's match Canterbury had one of the worse attacking records in the comp, but they managed to walk all over us like they were in red-hot form. For all of this talk about how much our defence has improved, I'm yet to see any real difference from previous years.

Yes looking at the score its bad, however if you acutally watched the game we defended well throughout the game, but like simple lapses in concerntration cost us points. We didnt get dominated and we restricted alot of their forwards making good metres. Also the dogs were on fire, and conceding 30 points to a on fire dogs isnt that bad considering their team is full of superstars.

However, our attack lacks direction hard without Mullen out there. Is a real pity. We need another genuine playmaker every game or we will lose every single game. We were making plenty of metres but couldnt do anything after that.

We are still leaking points on the edges, but our pack has been more than competitive all season (excluding one debacle)

Funnily enough I did watch the game, and if you call 5 of their forwards making 100m+ 'restricted' then I'd hate to see them when they aren't. The fact remains that every week we seem to be saying that the boys defended well except for one or two simple lapses in concentration. That's 6-12 points each game we are letting in.

And to make matters worse we are letting in the majority of tries in the opening 20 minutes of the game- I can't think of many good excuses for not being able to concentrate in the opening exchanges of a match. You can't miss 44 tackles in a game (and over 30 on average this season) and say that we are defending well. Yes, they have improved, but I hope that there is a lot more left in them before the season ends.

That's a pretty Patrick Nuffy team, right there. But the Warriors normally get beaten by Patrick Nuffies, so we'll courier the 2 points over to you now.

well..i would say i wont be at all surprised to see Marvan there..cause he been close past weeks..but after watching news looks like they going to keep brown there..shifting kurt back to FB..and maby trialling polly at 5/8..i so hope not..ill die...i dont think Dureau will get a shot..just dosent seem to be in Smiths plans..otherwise he should have been given a shot by now!!
hopefully all a smokey and Marvan will get the go ahead..cause we desperately need someone in there..even if mullen is ab,e to play..another month..Walsh mite be in by then!!

polly at 5/8th is something i definitely don't want to see.

i don't think we will though.. the team that runs out n game day is usually different to the one we hear about all week. smith doesn't seem to like to give much away.
