I like what I see. Hopefully, if Purtell is the one to come in for Mogg, he'll stay in the centres where he ripped the Bunnies a new one in PL last week. I honestly think, from having watched him in the past, that he is a much better centre than winger.

Purtell hopefully will come into the centres where he looks more impressive (especially from his PL efforts at centre). I hope they don't do a reshuffle and put him back out to the wing.

Go Weyman and Thurling! :D

This morning's canberra times confirms that howell will move into the centres and purtell onto the wing.

howell and purtell on one side = :thumbd:

i don't know why elliot doesn't stick howell and graham on the same side like he did vs. nth qld. i think they make a great combination.

For mine, Purtell should come into the centres and Howell saty on the sing where he has played fairly well in the last 2 games. his performace in the centres this year has ben attrocious. Anyone remember Willie Tonga ripping him a new arshole last game against the dogs?

I agree, Purtell to centre and Howell on the wing.

Frawley and Purtell will probably be paired togther, lets hope they can man up on defense..

kouparitsas will be def be one to watch, i remember when he was playing PL here and was probably one of our best.
Purtell would be much better suited to centre, has a very good offload and running game. He has plenty of potential and when he gets his confidence up will dominate.

I would have laughed at you a couple of weeks ago, but having seen him playing in the centres and 5/8 I would agree with you.

It has taken him a while to get his confidence in first grade, but he does have a load of potential and if he strings a few games in first grade together he will start to shine.

he has strung more than a few first grade games together, and he hasn't shone.

Can't believe Purtell is getting talked up after playing against a down on strength Rabbitoh's premier league side. Have we forgotten how ordinary he was in 1st grade. SBW will have a field day out wide. Hope he can come up to the mark as this only area where the Bulldogs will have the edge. Personally would have preferred Chalk in to the starting side and a new bench player selected. I note Elliott has said that the Premier League's performances have demanded the players get looked at, I wonder what the likes of Ale, Goodwin and co think about that comment. Obviously Zillman would have been in top 17 barring injury (before Purtell) based on his current form.

Purtell has been given his chance and failed what about blooding some one else?

Zillman is tiny. We need as much size out wide as we can get for this game. Look at the Bulldogs' outside backs.

why not play TLL at the centre, he has more speed and strength imo then SBW.

1 CLINTON SCHIFCOFSKE (C)
2 CRAIG FRAWLEY
3 PHIL GRAHAM
4 TOM LEAROYD-LAHRS
5 DAVID HOWELL
6 TODD CARNEY
7 LINCOLN WITHERS
8 JASON WILLIAMS
9 SIMON WOOLFORD
10 MICHAEL HODGSON
11 MARSHALL CHALK
12 JASON CROKER
13 ALAN TONGUE

INTERCHANGE
14 ADRIAN PURTELL
15 BEN JONES
16 TREVOR THURLING
17 MICHAEL WEYMAN
-------

TLL can still have the hitups, just shift him to the 2nd row during attacking plays and move Chalk to centre, although i kinda want TLL to stay at centre so he could go toe to toe with SBW lol.

I'm sure TLL will be marking Sonny Bill anyway. Should be great :)

BTW Zillman is out for eight weeks with a broken hand so shelve the idea!
