What scares me is every press conference when someone mentioned how well Liddle went, Flanno goes “yeah he’s good but Cooky deserves credit” yesterday was the only time where that statement was warranted. It’s happened like 4 or 5 times when Cook didn’t play well. I hope that doesn’t piss Liddle off too much

Kyle Flanagan the coaches son gets a extension 2 years contract before start of season . But Liddell hasn't been re signed as yet if coach Flanagan let's Liddell go for his son to start at 14 next season and beyond we all should start now and start a vote or survey on this forum. Kyle didn't deserve a extension 2 more years after 1 season into a 2 year deal so obvious .

The re-signing of liddle is a priority for transitioning to life after cook. Liddle is going great but is not an 80 minute hooker. We need to keep him sharing the role with cookie and that gives us a couple of years to find a good young hooker, not kf, to share the role with liddle when Cook retires.
It's a wonderful opportunity for us but it depends on the first step, re-signing liddle.

I loved Liddles try but I am not sure he is the long term hooker we need. His speed and opportunism are great but there are other things I think he lacks that a dummy half needs.

I dont think his defence is good enough, we need a hooker who can make solid contact and help limit PCM, attacking players seem to roll Liddle forward even though he doesnt drop off. Also his service is not crisp or long enough which puts pressure on our hitups and his decision making from dummy half can be clunky and indecisive.

I think this is one of the areas we need to improve later in the game if we are going to consistently win the tight ones.

I am not saying get rid of Liddle, what I would like is for us to get a genuine gun hooker.
