Brisbane are run much better player wise than the roosters. You just have to look at who they re-signed and who they lost.

I reckon the Roosters will go after Ben Ross before Simpson. With Cayless, Ricko, Crocker now gone they have enough money for Anasta and one more top liner I reckon and backrowers we have plenty of. A frontrower on the other hand would be a better option to replace Cayless.

Add Firman and Walker to that list of players leaving. Should free up a fair bit of money.

If I was Simpson I'd test my value on the open market and I seriously doubt the Knights can match what some other clubs have to offer money wise.

He's already represented Australia, NSW and won a premiership with the Knights so my prediction is he will pull up stumps and move on to another club.

Why do people persist in lying about Roosters contract details?. That one is almost on par with Albert Hopoate getting 100k to play Flegg (yes thank you very much Tigers fans ... much mirth was had over that one ).

For your information Charlie, you are 3 years out of date. Chris Walker WAS on 45k for the first year of his "weighted" contract (you do know what one of those is dont you ?), but he is on over 200k as of this year.

And Brett Firman was being paid 150k by the Roosters. There is no lie about that, it was even in both newspapers, tv, radio etc etc. We werent going to release him at all if a club didnt pick up 100% of the tab, so thats how much the Cowboys have him for.

But you also have to remember that it is much easier for Brisbane to retain players. They are not in the competitive Sydney market and everything is cheaper up in Brisbane.

As for Simpson, he's fanastic player who would fit in nicely with the Roosters style.

I think its a bit harsh how some are saying he got picked in Origin for this reason...

He has been in good form and deserved the spot and has been solid in his last 2 origin games.

Devistating news, hope he stays, if he leaves we wont really have an experienced forward to help the younger players with their attitudes off and on the field.
