Burns Aligned
The Burns faction started off with me, Mr Burns and Whall15 as Whalan Smithers. My role was that on every odd night I could attempt to recruit somebody with a Burns quote. I would send the PM to NT, who would PM the potential recruits, who could accept or decline. Whall15 had a strange night power that I don't think he ever used but his passive power was that while he was alive, I could not be killed at night.
So we started with 2/26.
Day 1
Day 1 as you would expect was pretty much a mess. I don't think whall and I even spoke really, lol.
Night 1
An odd numbered night, I tried to recruit adamkungl. This wasn't a very bright move by me in hindsight, as he was killed during the first night. I went after him because he played well in the first mafia, but someone else obviously had the same idea.
Day 2
This was pretty funny. Everyone suspected that Mr Burns blocked out the sun and ended the day early. I had nothing to do with it, but I jumped in and started vocally pondering the theories, suggesting that Bunniesman was on the same team as Mr Burns.
Night 2
Even numbered night, no action. Basically just kept pushing the Burns blocking out the sun theory.
Day 3
One of our biggest days.
Bunniesman was getting very suspicious of whall. We didn't even need to discuss this, it was obvious that joining on the bandwagon and voting Bunniesman out was the move to make. While he had convinced a few people of whall being bad, I'd like to toot my own horn for a second: I think I did a pretty good job of convincing people that Whall15 wasn't mafia because of what Bulldog Force had posted after he died. Thanks BF, if you hadn't posted what you said, whall may have been killed early. Whall never got more than 3 votes during day if I remember correctly.
Monk voted for me and the way he was talking made it seem like he genuinely knew something. This was pretty much the first and last time that I was genuinely suspected.
Night 3
An odd numbered night, I attempted to recruit Monk. It was successful. Here's his welcome PM:
Day 4
Monk played well, he kept his suspicion about me up. Later on in the day when it was unlikely of anything to come of it, he voted for me. The mafia played a similar game in hindsight, occasionally voting for each other. Works a charm!
Suspicion was still on whall. I re-stated my case of why he wasn't mafia, sweetening the deal by saying he could still be an independent.
I bought into Hala's theory that JM was Apu, but I voted for him anyway, since that would mean he was town. Monk followed suit and changed his vote.
Night 4
An even numbered night, no action. Defended my reasoning for voting for JM because Halla was suspicious of it.
Monk was killed during Night 4, so he didn't get to spend much time with us. Him dying was both very good and very bad.
The good: He had been voting for me and continued to vote for me after he had switched allegiances, and he turned up dead as Burns-aligned. It would seem strange if we were on the same team, right?
The bad: We were back to 2/16 players and extremely vulnerable.
Day 5
Fred inquired about who Monk was suspicious of. I mentioned he was suspicious of me, but that he couldn't be particularly trusted, since he was Burns-aligned.
Suspicion was still there about whall. I attempted to throw it onto other random people.
By this stage, I was fairly suspicious of BDR. I was certain that either one of Halla or BDR were mafia and once Halla was dead, well... yeah. Still, it would be silly for us to go after him. It wasn't worth the risk. If we couldn't drum up the support to kill him, we'd most likely be killed ourselves.
BDR was gaining a lot of votes, but I stayed out of this one because I'd helped kill several townies by this stage.
Rebel became the leader of the "lynch whall" campaign, shortly followed by Parra. He was drumming up support very well. I cast some doubt on him by suggesting his good track record of who was and wasn't mafia was because he was mafia himself. This didn't achieve much, but it didn't hurt either.
The fun part that NT forgot to mention. Even though Monk had defected to the Burns faction, he still really showed up as town when the census was made. I put myself in charge of updating the census throughout the game, and when Monk had died, I removed 1 from our faction, making it seem as if there was only 1 Burns-aligned character left.
Night 5
It was an odd-numbered night, so I attempted to recruit Rebel. While all our members were vital to our success, he was the best recruit by far. As mentioned previously, Rebel had it in for whall, but he also had a good reputation in the game thread for knowing what's what.
Unfortunately I deleted my first PM to Rebel. Maybe he could post it up for me. Basically I wanted his role to be similar to Monks: Keep your suspicion up about whall but tune it down just a tiny bit so you don't get him killed.
Day 6
We were now 3/14. I updated the Census again. People were suspicious of Cliffhanger so I joined in the fun, quoting a post where she said we should have kept AlwaysGreen alive for his entertainment value. That worked out so well that AlwaysGreen was mafia! I waited for a few more people to vote, then voted for her myself.
Night 6
An even-numbered night, no action was made. I'm not going into all the details, but from Day 6/Night 6 onwards, I spent the majority of my time plotting with Rebel in PM because he was more active than whall and we really wanted to make use of his town reputation.
This is the night HowHigh f**ked up. I was suspicious of all the quiet people, but I never thought he was actually Fat Tony.
Day 7
Rebel and I worked our magic to get HowHigh killed. Firstly, I drew attention to the fact that HowHigh said "Poor Bart" when a mafia member had died. Then I drew attention to the fact that his night action was cancelled and coincidentally, nobody had died during the night for the first time in the game. I said Parra was who I was really suspicious of because I didn't want to be moidered. Parra was also the last prominent member of the "lynch whall" campaign.
When HowHigh started to gain momentum, Rebel worked his magic and made a convincing enough post about why we should vote for HowHigh. Later that day, he died. This was the first time that the Burns faction had successfully engineered a kill. I never got the chance to vote for him because when I got up the next morning he was already dead. Luck did really play it's part here for us.
Gas Panic! also made this post right near the end of the day:
Night 7
An odd-numbered night, I could attempt to recruit someone. With the above quote in mind, it was pretty obvious what had to be done!
Here are the two welcome PMs:
Like I said, we knew BDR was mafia, but we didn't know if he could kill or not. Butch, Ozzy or BDR? 2/3 ain't bad.
This was when I f**ked up by saying the mafia being eliminated would mean the town win. I shrugged the mistake off pretty comfortably though I think.
Day 8
We now had 4/10 and were starting to get our hopes up.
Immediately I brought up a quote that nobody really cared about at the time - that Ozzy wouldn't be able to participate any further until Feb 12th. Like usual, I waited for someone else to vote for him first (Parra), then voted for him myself. From this point on it was pretty easy to control the lynchings. Either we had the numbers, or the right people were alive to kill him. Ozzy was town, so he had Burns, Mafia and the last independent ready and willing to get rid of him.
We barely had to worry about being subtle now, we were down to 4/9, and with 5 votes to lynch, we could easily give a lynch momentum.
Night 8
An even numbered night, no action. Very quiet in the game thread and very short. Basically just discussed with each of the members to keep doing what we're doing.
Day 9
BDR saved us the trouble of who we'd lynch next by suggesting Butch. We jumped on the bandwagon, casting 3 of the 5 votes to get him killed. Down to 4/8.
Night 9
9701 was a fairly random choice, it was between him or Thorson. I suspected that this late in the game it might be hard to get someone to change factions, because they would think their team had a good chance at winning. As NT said, had he accepted, he would have ended the game a winner.
Day 10
Just to show off the might of the Burns faction, I decided to kill the man who rejected us. It was 5 for a lynch, we had 4 on our team, we could have picked anybody really. DB jumped in and I tried to convince BDR to vote as well, but really he needed no convincing.
Game Over! We own 4/7 of the town and are victorious!
Player wrap-up
whall15: whall was the quietest member of our group but was obviously extremely important to our team. He had received enough attention so that he was more useful to the mafia/independents alive than dead, but not enough to get himself killed. If he had been killed at any stage, the heat would have likely turned to me for trying to protect him early on. If I was killed, we would have had next to no chance. I like how we basically kept each other alive throughout the game.
Monk: Monk may not have been a member for long, but he was vital to our success. He played a great part in keeping any attention off me, both in his life and his death. A shame he had to die, but he's still team Burns.
Rebel: Rebel and I shared dozens of PMs discussing the game, it was loads of fun. He played a fantastic game in the game-thread but also played a major role behind the scenes.
Gas Panic!: Gas Panic! was pretty quiet in-game, but that was perfect for us. Nobody suspected him, he was safe, and he helped the team clean up the joint, voting for our enemies.

Apey said:You sir are now a vital cog in the Power Plant's success.
You have to play it cool. Suspicion is growing about me, but suspicion will grow about you if you change that tune you were singing about me.
At some point when the danger of one of us being ousted is low, we should vote for each other.
For example, whall and I are getting more attention put on us. Should one of us look like we're about to get killed (me for example), I will vote for Whall, you could perhaps vote for Whall, and whall will vote for you.
For now, I am going to see how today pans out...

I note that whall once again very quickly appeared when his absence was questioned. If his Internet was farked due to floods as he said, then fair enough and I hope he is okay. Otherwise, it wasn't the first time he chimed in only to defend himself.
HowHigh looks like going, but whall still worthy of consideration.
Night 7
An odd-numbered night, I could attempt to recruit someone. With the above quote in mind, it was pretty obvious what had to be done!
Here are the two welcome PMs:
Apey said:Welcome to team. In case NT didn't inform you, the team is made up of
Apey - Mr Burns
Whall15 - Smithers
Rebel - Lisa
We have to own a majority to win the game. We are getting fairly close at 4/11, possibly 4/10 after tonight, hopefully not 3/10!
What character are you and do you have any actions?
Apey said:Yeah doesn't seem like you can do much with that now. It doesn't matter anyway, Rebel doesn't really have an action either and whall's is pretty useless.
My action is that I can recruit somebody every 2nd night. On Night 1, I tried to recruit adam (silly move by me) but he died. Night 3, Monk. Night 5, Rebel. Night 7, you.
Whall is very important though. If he is alive, I cannot be killed at night. Or at least, I am given a second chance.
With 4/11, hopefully 4/10, it's going to be very difficult for one of us to be killed during the day, so our only real threat is whoever can kill at night (somebody must be able to if Bart died during the night).
Whall being suspicious somewhat works in our favour for night time. Why would anyone kill him off when he is taking the heat off them?
Mostly we have just been trying to play it cool (except for whall :lol.
We need to find out who has the night lynch powers though and get some momentum to kill them.
Rebel and I suspect it's either Butch, Ozzy or BDR. We aren't sure though obviously!
Like I said, we knew BDR was mafia, but we didn't know if he could kill or not. Butch, Ozzy or BDR? 2/3 ain't bad.
