They get along great but I think the bigger issue is Ennis knows outside Maloney is Ricky and Feki while Bird and Holmes are on the other side

Sure is! Scary thing (for other teams) is that the combos are still improving. I'd be happy with them peaking in the GF!

Like how we can go left, right and up the middle and there is a good ball player there, they can't just compress and snuff us out of the game anymore, and yeah I think there's still room for improvement too.

Plenty of improvement in our players, scary for the opposition. Is this becoming our beautiful team?

It's funny that no matter how good we are going, there is always room for improvement.

I don't think we can improve really....except Bird dropping a sitter with the line open.

I watched us at the game on Sunday & again on the replay that night....I thought we were all-but perfect, albeit against a very weak team.

We didn't have all the run of play. Keep in mind they had most of the ball the first 10 & last 7 minutes, where we held them out with numerous close shaves - they did throw a bit at us. In between, we scored 62 glorious points!

I agree we played a great game...

We DO need to remember that, apart from Jeremy Smith and Tariq Sims, it was a pretty ordinary team...

We CAN do better - the first 10 mins were not great - we looked like we had lost our way.

To beat the Cowboys and the Broncos, we need to be tough for 80 mins (not 70 ;-)).

However, this is the best chance we've maybe ever had to win the whole thing - I know the fluff is snow-balling, but I genuinely think we can do it this year.

we only just beat the titans
just beat panthers
Only just beat the broncos

we have been very lucky with oppositions having players injured and that will be the case again this week
I don't think we should be sucking each other just yet.
soon maybe...but just not yet.

However Carch, we still won games we may well have lost in the recent past, but I agree, we are not there yet. 1999 anyone?

If we beat Manly, our bogey side, and beat them well, then I'll be a little more confident about our chances this year. Yes, 7 in a row is a mean feat but it won't mean much if we drop this game. The doubters will come out again and our confidence will take a hit.

I'll tell you one thing. If somehow we do get beat Saturday night and I see just one player carrying on and laughing with someone from the opposition I will be absolutely livid!

I think the Maloney comments were relevant around Round Three, but a fair bit has changed since then and he's looking a lot more settled there.
