skill levels

I reckon our skill levels are way down on some other clubs.
Our passing in particular is ordinary. High looping balls & at times painfully slow.

Exception would be Buster who has a great snap & spin.

our passing looked far from sharp around the ruck in the first 20 mins last night

if the titans turned up we could have been on the back foot from early on

I didn't think Seymour's kicking game was at its best last night. It was a good kicking game, but not outstanding like the previous weeks. A bit kick happy to honest. A few Noddy-like innocuous kicks entered his game. The kind that take the pressure off the defending side.

there was 1 terrible kick I think a banana effort, but aprt from that I thought his kicking was superb. Again. Birds too.

Seeing Kinga again last night I'd rate his passing game ahead of De Gois.

I've thought for a while though our passing game was rather average.

Totaly agree BTR . But the problem is consistancy and we just cant do it for 80 min. The top teams do it well all game , you see few looping passes from Storm.

At least it is good to see that they are now passing the ball. Ricky now has a whole off season to work on those skills.

Our passing is terrible. There are very few players capable of throwing a bullet pass to get a runner outside his opponent. I also think that our hole running is ordinary. Watch Tahu as he swerves to the outside whilst the pass is in the air to get him outside his man. These skills can be developed and I think that getting our passing crisp and our hole runners running the right angle will improve our attack immeasurably.

Seymour has been good but there have been too many occasions when he does not get to first reciever inside the opposition 22 to put on a play. We get a bit lost and he needs to make the 22 his area where he is in control. Hopefully, this can be corrected.

I've thought that all year (and probably longer). I see other clubs do things and think `Why can't/don't we do that'. Some may say we've only been togther a short time. But look at Souths in the last few weeks. Same applies to them. Perhaps the difference is a higher level of experienced skilled player.

It is an area that Ricky is aware of and will be working on in the off season. Particularly the passing.

I rate DeGois very highly, but his service from dummy half was painfully slow at times.
Needs to pass off the ground, not pick it up, have a look, then pass.
