So much for the bulldogs time in the new ads being reduced. What about the Cowboys having no representation in the ads at all? Pretty slack, I say.

Well you see two cowboys supporters in the ad.

What more do you want.

If it is primarily aimed at sydney and brisbane viewers (the biggest markets) then few cowboys is hardly surprising...

I saw the ad during the coverage of the F1 Grand Prix & it had a whole group or Cowboys fans, one of whom is kissng the badge...

There are three or four different ad's though, maybe they're on an ad you didn't see...

Had in the paper in Brisbane yesterday how there were no cowboys action shots in the ads. And I think it said the Cowboys hadn't had any channel 9 coverage (must mean south of the border) for a few years.

I haven't seen the ads at all.

The cowboys haven't featured in a ch 9 game since their first game way back in 1995. But except for maybe last year their performances have hardly been worthy of achieving the status of best or 2nd best game of the week,

I haven't seen the ad, but that would suck, and yes it certainly does matter. Matt Sing, Ty Williams, Matt Bowen, Paul Rauhihi, Glenn Morrison, Travis Norton, Kevin Campion - these guys are all outstanding players and their club should be represented.

It's a NRL ad, not a Ch.Nein ad. If they had wanted to use some footage of Cowboys players they could of quite easily of used some from Fox.

*shrug*

I used to say it as a joke but,

NswRL

And as someone else has pointed out, on-field performance doesn't seem to be the deciding critira with Ch.Nein on who they choose to broadcast. All the teams that finished below the NQ Cowboys last season got shown on Ch.Nein.

Grantwhy, I realised a year or two ago that the Friday night match is not the BEST match of the round in terms of quality of the game but rather Channel Nein's thoughts on what would be the BEST for ratings in Sydney.

Channel Nein don't seem to give a stuff for supporters anywhere else in the country.

The ads are ok, well i've only seen one i think or maybe two, did they record a slower version of Thats My Team? It seemed a little slower, if they did, i prefer last years version.

If it is the case that the official NRL ad's can find the space to show players from every club except the NQ Cowboys, then we have to wonder what the NRL's opinion/views on the Cowboys are and just what are the NRL's intentions for the Cowboys :?

Oh I know the NRL want's the NQ Cowboys . . . .

they just don't seem to care :(

For what it's worth, I reckon the ad I've seen is excellent. I saw it on the Back Page tonight, and it got my bloody pumping. Even the AFL journo said the ad got his blood pumping.

Pitty there wasn't more representation for the Cowboys, but I wouldn't take it personally.

This is the attitude that spawned Superleague..... there should be much more recognition of regional interests in the ads. The Raiders finished fourth last year but get an absolute minimal coverage. There should at least be ads that can be shown in North Queensland, Canberra, Melbourne, New Zealand, as well as the district of St George, Newcastle, and the east and southern suburbs of Sydney.

I will give you an example... they just showed an NRL ad on TV here just this instant in Canberra.... there was a zillionth of a second that showed a Raiders jersey... does the NRL really think that is worth their effort here????
