Sloan to Reggie’s

After watching tonight’s game I think Flanno needs to drop Sloan to reserve grade for a while and give Lawson a go. Although I’m not sure how Lawson has been doing in the reggies? Sloan was caught out constantly in defence and the arm grab on Charlie Staines that led to that try was schoolboy stuff. I know he wasn’t the only player who had an off night. Sloan doesn’t roam and inject himself into our attack to either get us on the front foot or take advantage of his speed and elusiveness, especially late in each half when there are tired defenders about. I think Suli needs a rocket put up him as well. For such a big body he is not in the game as near enough as he should be. There needs to be a shakeup Lids to start and Cook off the bench. Flanno stick it up ‘em 🤔👍

I'd be ok with Sloane never playing FG again he's not up to it it's that simple he's has to many chances and is a proven cat.
Perfect candidate for Perth Bears.

I like Sloan as a person and as a club man, and it's lovely when he goes well but he is not up to it for the week to week. Maybe I need to watch again but he didn't even seem to bother chasing Bula when the sliding doors event happened before half time. That's literally what he gets picked in the team to do.

We carry players like this and they are either too inconsistent or only play well off the back of others. It's not good enough.

Very disappointing game from Sloan. Not sure what was up but he was playing ok until the Tigers game. He reminded us all how bad he can be and with all these games he is chalking up, their should be far less of these errors by now. He made the Tigers reserve winger Stains look like a superstar.

Yep, this week is the one that broke the camel's back for me regarding Sloan. He simply doesn't have the urgency or the tenacity to do the little things that win or lose matches.

I hate this because I would love Sloan to succeed, but he is costing us matches, and it doesn't take many to cost the season.

Tui is being badly missed for his metres from the back and his ability to get over the line.

Why is it our most consistent players have been our three newest in Couchman, Egan and Stewart? Everyone is raving about them not because they blow games wide open but because they knuckle down, do the dirty work, and never stop as long as they are out there. What does this say about the complaceny and professionalism of our team?

All we really want is consistency and reliability and yet the players we sign for experience and the mainstays of the team are up and down like yo-yos. Of course no one expects a whirlwind performance each week but we are cying out for composure and match management.

When everything gets boiled down, this is what it comes down to. We want to know what we are going to get from our team.
