That aside, like it or not, there's a new sheriff in town. His name is Smith. Its no longer Gallop. The rules have changed.

The players want the $$$$$. Smith is happy to give them the money as the pie grows on the proviso that they behave. Its a pretty simple concept........

I also do not understand why Gal is so angry at the NRL. The NRL did not cause the ASDA investigation, the Cronulla Sharks did, specifically some one on the coaching/support staff/consultants.

It is widely viewed that the NRL handled the ASDA investigation a lot better than the AFL handled theirs. Our chairman Keogh has even come out a few days ago and said that he thinks the NRL have been pretty supportive of the Shark's players.
It's the club's responsibility to provide support and counselling to the players, and I'm sure I read somewhere a while back that the club provided that support.

So why exactly is Gal so angry at the NRL and not at whoever caused this? He had no problems whatsoever moving against Sharp.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sorry to hear he is not well. But for mine blame is easy to shift and the mirror is hard to look at.

To me it's not so much as the penalty, it's the f**kin inconsistency. He has brought a lot of shyt down on himself BUT, other players and clubs have committed bigger sins against the game and the penalties are far less in severity.

Eg: Smith, Inglis, Cronk and Slater. What penalty did they get? They knew that they had rorted the cap. Bellamy had to know.

Thurston calls the refs cheats. Penalty? None, he was frustrated.

Barba and Inlgis allegedly assault the other halves. Penalty?

Broncos rort the cap. Penalty?

3 Broncos in a toilet cubicle with a female. Penalty?

HGH levels at the Roosters. Penalty?

See where I'm going and this is the tip of the iceberg.

I'm all but out of this game. Gallen deserved to be punished. He spoke the truth but you can't in any profession publicly abuse your boss or company and expect to not be penalised in some form BUT......

He admitted he was wrong, but I think he can be justifiably upset when other high profile players (and clubs) seem to get off with a slap on the wrist for similar or worse.

I am not the face of two years bad press for the game of rugby league as a result of the doping investigation.
I am not the leader of a team who's marquee signing was allowed to go off the rails entierly, culminating in him pzing in his own mouth causing more ridicule for the club.
I am not a player serving what most people feel is a very light suspension negotiated by the my club and the NRL with ASADA.
I am not captain of NSW.
I am not vice captain of Australia.

I am none of those things and even though I think the NRL are Kents...I wouldn't post it on twitter.

Simple fact, in my place of employment, which is a rather large company, you would find many people with a similar view of individuals in the leadership team. You would find NO ONE, not a soul, posting that view to social media. If I called my CEO a Kent, and someone cared enough to have read I'd lose my job in an instant - and I'm just a fgn numpty here.
