So what is the best option legend? You, or you know who is?

I am the best option.

On Smith, he could hardly sack the captain if got the job. He'd be gone in a flash.

I like the attention to detail that Smith puts into his work. He seems like a purist who is very analytical.

to be fair to smith, Hodgson was at that time the NSW fullback, or not far gone from the team, and was in pretty good form... As said we dont have the luxuary of having 2 outstanding fullbacks, and schif is captain and one of our best players, theres no way known to man that he'd be dropped by Smith

there is no way you could justify dropping schif to PL and playing chalk at fullback

Yes smith could have played schif on the wing, and im sure in hindsight, seeing the player schif went on to become, he regrets doing as much
