Smith: Inglis most talented player I've ever seen

CAMERON Smith has played with Darren Lockyer, Johnathan Thurston and Billy Slater, but the Maroons captain-in-waiting names Greg Inglis as the most gifted player he has seen.
"I've played with a few naturally gifted guys, but not to the extent of Greg," Smith said. "They haven't had the amount of talent that he's got.
"They've all had the complete package but Greg has a bit more. He has a lot of speed, a lot of strength, he just has an abundance of talent in several areas.
"When he is fit and prepared well, he's pretty unstoppable. It doesn't matter who he is up against."

BunniesMan has been saying it for months. Cameron Smith, who knows almost as much as me about footy, agrees.

Greg Inglis is the best player on the planet at his best. He's going to help Queensland win their 6th straight series. And he's going to use Origin 2 to kickstart his season and get him back into form and when he gets back to Souths he'll help us push on into the top 8.

I saw Inglis come out of the surf on the news today. He is at peak fitness. I wouldn't have him much higher than about 102-104kg (close to 10kg lighter than a year ago). He will lead us to the finals.

Do you agree with me and the Australia/Queensland/Melbourne superstar about Inglis? If yes, explain why. If no, do tell us why you're wrong.

Shame that despite having the best player on the planet at your club you're still s**thouse. Doesn't say much for the Rabbitohs as a club.

You're lucky I did it once. I could have kept it up for the entire post. I do it when I'm very pleased with myself. Times like when the best hooker in the game and next Australian/QLD captain agrees with me.

He started the year with an interrupted offseason. He was rusty in the first couple weeks but then he improved, in one game alone he got a try and 2 try assists. But just as he began to get in form he got injured in the Test.

Now he's fully physically fit, Origin will help him get match fit and he's going to lead his club and state to success this year.

P.S. We have a great forward pack.

You're both playing his flute, why wouldn't you agree.

Greg Inglis is the best player on the planet at his best..
Too bad his best is once in a blue moon.

Stop stalking him you ridiculous pedestrian

No, because you're a nanger and Smith is hardly going to call a teammate an overweight, underachieving, speedboat captain with questionable attitudes towards women and aviation.

Its ok to grapple tackle.

Playing for 50uff$ was a terrible decision by him.
A great player who will deteriorate as he is surrounded by failure.

What? Well who the hell was this guy?

And being fat and disinterested doesn't mean you're rusty, it means you're fat and disinterested. Or Russell Crowe.

The only logical conclusion: Russell Crowe killed Greg Inglis during the off-season, and is now wearing his skin while researching for his next role in a movie tentatively titled 'LOL@50uFF$.'

Yes but he didn't pay the same compliments to every other teammate.

P.S. The "aviation" bit actually made me lol.

A lazy fat merkin would have gained weight in the month he's just had off. If anything he's even fitter now than at the start of his time off. He's clearly been hitting the gym, that's not what lazy fat merkins do.

Did he let himself go to a degree over the offseason? Yes he did. Should he have let it happen? No he shouldn't but the offseason was very extreme for him for a lot of reasons. From multiple surgeries to the Schubert inspired BS. It's understandable why he got a little undisciplined.

But he's right now, and he's about to hit dominating form.

You get the feeling he'll have a big one on Wednesday then he'll carry on that form for us for the run into September.
