Don't forget Jay Jay, Im sure he would love to be involved with such an occaision.

I'm guessing JayJay's cornflakes didn't agree with him this morning.

I think all three will be real challenges for one reason or another..

You're hopeless Mr Pessimistic.

I think they will be hard to keep, Krisnan a bit easier than others seeing as he is here for nest year anyways, but Blake is a local boy and I think he is the best chance of any of staying.

Well we don't sit on our hands when it comes to player retention. You can be assured that we will be going in hard comes to Green, Inu & Mateo.

I expect it will all come down to the player wanting to play for the club.

so you're saying no NRL club will make a play for them??? also INU may also continue his religous studies after the end of 08.

Besides money and the length of the contract, I think it might come down to how much First Grade they think they will get here.

No not at all. Of the 4 you mentioned, I hope we can keep them all tbh, and fight off all other challengers.

It was my opinion that Blakes number 1 priority was to play first grade. Now that he has played first grade so early in this season surely that puts Parra in a better position than the rest when chasing his sig for next year and beyond!!

Alot of clubs will, but I think their future is clearer in Eels colours. Most of these players already know they will become established 1st graders with their roles at the club already outlined by Hages. I can only see them leaving to make an extra buck, but not because their unhappy or insecure in any way.

me too..

all I'm saying is that it will be difficult..plenty of clubs have taken notice of their current form and the manipulative nature of player managers always makes for an intersting situation in the negotiating table.

As bad as this sounds!

Losing Tahu to Rugby may be the best thing that has happened for our club in some years and hopefully will be our opportunity to keep our talented juniors.

Well at least for the next contract anyway!!

Let's remember that Saints, Melb & Manly all made lucrative offers to Blake, probably better than the one he signed to stay for. Now that he has tasted 1st Grade I can't see him leaving either to be honest...But like Eela pointed out, there are no guarantees in life.

I actually think that makes a huge amount of sense.

His big bucks will go a long way to hopefully securing the mid-term futures of many of our youngsters.

 You're funny mate. I know you're putting in a dose of realism but you always assume the worst....... I think most of us on the forum have worked that out by now. ;-)

ok, so if they any of them do end up chasing the big bucks and end up signing else where, will you aim a tirade of abuse at Fitzy for letting this happen??? ;-)
