I don't know of a modern song that would work atm, I'm not a huge fan of 80's music but this really fits the footage.

What do you want, a Lady Gaga or Justin Bieber song in the in the background? Or maybe some Birds of Tokyo if you want an Aussie band? The song is called 'All Fired Up' and the idea of it is to 'fire you up'. Let's keep in mind 'What's my Scene' which became 'That's my Team' is also an 80's song and was the most popular NRL theme since 'Simply the Best', hence why it the song was the NRL's theme for 5 years during the 2000's.

True, but I agree with my Western Red supporting friend, that as awesome as the clip was put together (and thank you for some balance, 8 shots with the Roosters getting reamed and 4 clips with positive Rooster stuff so that's about 800% more positive than 9 usually is - you'd have to change that ratio to 18 to 1 to get their approval..... jokes) the music sucked arse from my opinion. I never was a "soft rock" fan 25 years ago and it's even worse now.

I reckon this has the scope for some amazing rugby league footage though

"I try to give you up, but I'm addicted...."

out of recent Triple J hottest 100, Wombats, Art v's Science, Children Collide, Gyroscope to name a few would make good backing songs. I always thought the Fat Boy slim song would make a great theme song for a Sth Sydney video montage and Arctic Monkeys have some cracking songs.

The song works well with the video, I can't see something like it being considered i a modern marketing campaign though. It's way too retro.

I've always thought Broken, Beaten, and Scarred by Metallica would be cool for a promo video, but again I doubt it would be considered for a real marketing campaign

The vision does not require music, it speaks for itself.

I watch the op turned off after about a minute, it kept showing irrelevent musos.

If you do need music fine, but keep the footage of tries, hits, etc.

You want retro, get footage of League and put it to classical music.

The vid was pretty good, and I didn't mind the music.
The song fits.

I just thought that it didn't need to show Pat Benetar every 10 seconds.

I really like the Premier Sports NRL promo video. Check this out.

Btw, if anyone in the UK wants a slight discount on their Premier Sports subscription either check out my signature (currently story no. 5) or drop me a private message.

Well edited video (you even see where Dwyer smashes JWH directy in the face ;-)) but the music doesn't get me excited at all.

The song's not bad, but I don't think it suits the video.

I know it's NFL music (I'm not saying we should use it) but when I play this:

Over the top of that Premier Sports video, I get a real sense of how big our game can truly be.

We recently had a Au Pair come to live with us

She's a massive football fan (Manchester United unfortunately) and is interested in Australian sports. So I decided to show her the video you put together.

She didn't care too much for Pat Benetar, but she LOVED the vision of the games and actually watched the New Zealand v Newcastle trial with me and a mate that evening.

The first thing she noted about the NRL was Jamal Idris and the hits he was putting on people in that clip. She has decided that he rocks and she's now a Bulldogs supporter!

She will be rushing home from the City tonight to watch the All Stars game as Jamal is playing in that one.

Congraulations - the video was successful in recruiting another fan to our great game :)
